She was born on one of the darkest of nights that her mother and father had ever seen, the weather was foul. Intense lightning graced the sky an lands, thunder shook and rumbled within the wigwam, the wind blew fiercely outside. This night Catori Nukpana was part of the world, however shortly after her birth the tribe was attacked by another everyone had been distracted by her birth after all her father was the cheif. Her name meant evil spirit, she was cursed for the rest of life. As she grew older she was deemed worthy to start her chores as a lady, but this was not fitting enough for her she wanted more, she wanted to be warrior. There was a great spirit at work here, while out doing her chores she would train like the men of the tribe, she watched them closely. She was very swift and cat-like, her instinct was very real. One day as she went off to do her daily chores, while she was practicing her moves an gracefully abilites an eerie feeling washed over as if she was being watched. She dodged behind a tree kneeling down within the grass as she carefully observed the area, listening silently. Before she could react she was ambushed but a rival tribe, she sprung to her feet avoiding the oncomming men an arrows, she ran as fast as her legs would carry her threw the brush and into the woods never looking back.
She stopped finally out of breath an the energy to go on any further her only hopes was that she was safe now. She dropped down behind a tree to rest, exhausted from her escape, she couldn't see the sun so she was unsure what time of day it was but it must have been late afternoon and it would be growing dark soon. She knew if she hadn't returned after dusk her father would send out a search party to find her, she would wait here for it was safer then trying to head back. The sounds of nature relaxed her so much that she drifted off to sleep. She was quickly jerked from her slumber at the sounds of snapping branches, it was night now an the stars were barely visible thru the canopy of tree's. Her breath silented as she listened closely, when she heard the footsteps near she looked up an seen the dark figure, figure of a indian man. He grabbed at her seeing her sudden movement, he was wailing in another language which was not of her tribe she knew then and there she was in trouble. She struggled and managed to break free in a mad dash further into the forest. She climbed over fallen trees and branches trying to make her escape again, with her next few strides her life would change completely, an unseen undetectable rift transfered her to another place and time.
As she stood bewildered at the new and oddity of this place, she didn't notice the drunken military men comming towards her. They dragged into a dark and dirty ally in the suburbs of a american town known as chi-town. She laid bloody, beaten and near death, that night a passing bounty hunter found her, he didn't care how she got here or why she was laying in a pool of her own blood but had a pretty good idea. He knew he wouldn't get much of a price on her like this so he took her to his home an nursed her back to health. Shortly after her recovery he told her that it was time for to say good-bye, he swung her over his shoulder and vendured on to the nearest slave market to see what price he would get out of her. The price he got from her wasn't much but enough to keep him in his business, he kissed her on the forehead an wished her luck, she would never see him again. Her new live starts in a place so unfamilar and different, her spirit locked within. A slave now never to be a warrior.
