Cpl. Daniel Glitter

Background:Daniel’s father was a famous Glitter Boy mercenary before joining the Free Quebec armies, thus, earning further distinction and the rank of general. Daniel’s entire life could have been a life of luxury, but he was driven to fill his father’s shoes and make his family proud. Daniel has pushed himself his entire life and joined the army at age 17. Daniel was accepted into the Special Forces upon his entering the military and his training was changed to reflect that of Free Quebec rather than the Coalition…his knowledge of Glitter Boys was an added advantage as it lent him more flexibility.

Daniel is a reckless and driven individual, but is very excitable and happy in social settings. Full of energy he never tires and sleeps little. When on duty, he is a tireless work horse thinking only of his duty and frequently goes well beyond the call of duty into the jaws of death itself. Amazingly enough, he has always emerged unscathed. During combat, he can lean towards abberant behavior, and has performed more than his share of assassinations due to his moral flexibility in combat.

Still young, but charged with protecting Free Quebec and her interests abroad, he is wise beyond his years and enjoys the far ranging assignments that the teams allow and the pride his father takes in calling him son. He can think of no better life and lives it to the fullest.

His first time out he was a little nervous, there were only 6 of them, all heavily armed, deep within enemy territory and under orders to commit suicide if they were caught; finally the harsh reality of the teams was clear to him, a secret mission from the Coalition no less. The lieutenant signaled a stop, they had to be close to the encampment by now. He was running tail guard 100 meters behind the group when the ambush struck… The jungle in front of him was a bright flash of light, then a massive concussion wave carrying trees and parts of his squad past him also takes him along. He landed with a thud, only remaining conscious long enough to trigger the nanobots repair kit, then nothing…He wakes up 30 minutes later according to his readout. Quickly rising to his feet he surveyed his surroundings and signaled for his team…no answer.

Running a quick diagnostic of his PA he crouched down and focused for a few minutes healing himself. Standing, he could see the paint had been partially removed and the glitter nature of the armor was showing through. He snuck up on the last known location where his team should have been before the explosion, using his suit and personal radar. As he got closer, his power armor's amplified hearing picked up laughter and the sounds of machinery. Crawling towards the noise and light, he could see several D-bees running about scavenging equipment and human parts from the edge of a 30 foot crate.The Geiger counter was going crazy…”shit," he thought, "they must have hit us with a mini-nuke!” He crawled to the high ground taking his time the D-bees were obviously immune to the radiation, huge beings in a patchwork of armor and cybernetics. He pulled his weapons forward into position and took aim at the farthest D-bee, “they are all gonna die,” he muttered into his suit. He began firing, the massive blasts from his weapons tearing limbs off the surprised beings, he took his time firing slowly only wounding some of them and finishing the rest of them off. He interrogated the ones that lived only until he got what he needed. Then, he killed them.

Returning to the RV took a full 3 days at top speed since there were no Sammas left to help haul the heavier armor, where he was picked up and hailed as a hero among the brass of Free Quebec. So begins the career of Daniel glitter where he joins a Coalition group known as Psi-Ops.
