Hunter

Hunter’s past is shadowy and mysterious. To him, his life started once he entered the medical center deep in South America. He remembers he was only about eight or nine years old, taken from his mother and father by a group of mercenaries that had razed the town for supplies. He does not know the fate of his mother and father; he only has the locket around his neck to remember them. His life was filled with odd experiments, classes, the shooting range, and magical rituals of unknown origin. He still remembers and despises “the Professor”, the man who radically changed his life and was the main tormentor of his past, but his life was too drugged and vague for him to fully remember anything.

What Hunter (real name Miguel Gonzalez, though he doesn’t even remember that!) does not know was that he was kidnapped by Professor Nostradamus Cervantes, the Techno-Wizard from Argentina who developed the Ultra-Crazy experiment! Hunter was one of his subjects, converted to a Crazy and kept drugged daily and experimented on, with hopes of discovering the secret to a TW Crazy. Hunter was selected for a special magical ritual that has been long forgotten for centuries, and was nearly fatal for the Professor himself. It was a ritual of extreme power, said to be one that the very gods themselves used to create their minions! After the horribly draining ritual, Hunter was knocked into a coma and possessed no special abilities, much to the chagrin of the Professor. He grudgingly put the young Crazy into a stasis pod of his own design, to wait for him to heal and awaken from his coma.

A few years passed, and the existence of Hunter slipped away from the Professor as he finally developed his Ultra-Crazy. He pretty much assumed Hunter would never be much more than anything but a normal Crazy. One day, an electrical brownout clicked off the pod, and Hunter awoke. Two aides walked in to check on him, and were promptly attacked, the first having his back broken and the second literally having his head torn off. The Professor went to stop the youth, but was suddenly hit with an overpowering emotion of mystic energy! The mere presence of Hunter caused him to collapse, the overflow of power too strong for him to handle. Hunter took advantage of the Professor’s weakened state, stole what equipment he could, and escaped into the night.

Avoiding those who hunted him and doing mercenary work on the side, Hunter quickly developed the reputation of an excellent sniper and warrior, as well as a party animal. He eventually decided South America was too risky, and after being pursued by a tribe of Amazons after commenting on their “bodacious beef bazookas”, he eventually arrived in Mexico. He soon discovered vampires, and found his tracking abilites, sniper skills, and psionics made him a good vampire hunter. He joined up with Reid’s Rangers and did a few missions with them, but soon grew disillusioned with Doc Reid’s words. He saw too many people die for no reason, some of them good drinking buddies and fellow mischief makers. One day, he just hopped on his hovercycle and headed north, towards North America and wherever his travels may take him. Little did he know but a group of bounty hunters from Santiago were right on his tail.

Hunter is a tall, lanky ragamuffin with M.O.M. implants in his bald head. His skin is rather pale for a Hispanic guy, and his dark eyes are sunken slightly into his head. He sports a trimmed black goatee (no mustache) and several piercings in each ear. He always has a sarcastic grin on his face, and is witty with comebacks and little jibes at others (all in good fun, though). He speaks with a small Spanish accent, and always seems to sound arrogant when talking. He typically wears dark brown traveling clothes under a suit of camouflage Bushman body armor with a sturdy pair of hiking boots. Over top his body armor, he wears a light brown, tattered Mexican poncho that he is quite fond of. Strapped to his back is an extremely long laser rifle (almost six feet in length!) with an advanced thermal scope (see Juicer Uprising) and laser targeting system. He wears a pair of retractable vibro-blades on each wrist, and has two short swords cross-sheathed on his back underneath his back pack. Around his waist are numerous ammo pouches, canteens, and two pistol holsters. In vampire country, he wears a bandolier of 24 wooden stakes around his body desperado-style, as well as one with 50 silver 7.62mm rounds. Around his neck is a golden locket, his most prized possession that holds the picture of his mother and father.
