Background:
The town of Little Pass was in ruin. The murders had come and ransacked it. Houses were burned; men and boys killed, women and girls raped, and babies were sold in to slavery. The most amazing thing about the taking of the town, not One laser blast, not one bullet, missile, partial beam blast, or ion beam was used against the town. It was all magic. Now this is not to say that the town did not go down without a fight, the people did try to fight, but when you Have a 100 mages, all VERY experienced, using every thing from Golems to Elementals, to mind confusions spells; you really don't stand a good chance.
You might be asking your self why did theses 100 mages want to take this town. Well the answer is simple, power and energy. It was discovered that the town was built on a very large crystal deposit. The same type of crystals that are used in the making of TW devices, and in magic rituals only theses were like PPE batteries, a 6 ounce crystal had about 100 PPE. And this was the only know place on earth that had theses crystals. The leader of the town, Steven Blackowski, an average Mind melter, Had Banished a Shifter, Jon Diaz, for wanting to take over and sell the land for a profit or for personal gain he wanted the power for him self. Jon saw himself as A mage to be feared and knew that with this hoard and power he would be.
It took about three years to get enough human magic users to take over the town. Jon was of the impression that D-Bee's are filth and the earth needed to be cleansed of a All D-bee kind, so he only recruited humans. And psionics were not too high on his list either, he saw them as freaks and mutants, although human, not much better then a d-bee Jon wanted only magic users but he didn't tell his followers about the crystals, he told them that it was an underground ley line, and when he took the town he was going to kill all the people who did not swear allegiance to him on the spot. So the town was taken, and Jon did come to power, but he did not do a good job of killing the people who did not consider him God. One got away. His name isn’t important because as soon as he told the Coalition about the town, and what was there and showed them where the town was, he was killed anyway, as an enemy of humankind.
The CS made short work of the 43 magic users Jon did not kill, and just for good measure, wiped the town of Little Pass off of the face of the earth, that’s why you WON'T find it on any map. And what of the crystals you ask, well after being burned twice, and the blood of so many people being shed, and the fact that a near nuclear bomb was used to devastated the town the crystals were all rendered useless, radiation and all.
In the time it took the CS to get "involved" Jon had made some very good money in the slave trade. Young humans sold the best, most went to the slave pits of Atlantis, but the two slaves Jon cherished the most were Remus and Lance, Steven Blackowski's twin sons. They were fraternal twins, and Remus was always cuter then Lance, but Lance was more outgoing. Jon was not going to sell his prize to the slavers just so they could die quick, he wanted these children to suffer for a long time, wanted then to be slaves until a ripe old age paying for their father's arrogance with a lifetime of misery. Jon sold the boys both 3 years old to a horrible looking scared woman, who said they would do good in her guano mine. Small children fit better in tight caves she said, and nobody cared if orphans died in a cave in hearing this Jon sold them for 100,000 credits each. He told her to tell them when they were old enough of who they were he sons go Blackowski he died screaming like a stuck pig. She smiled and said she would.
The lady took the boys to her home which was a cave. It was there that she showed her trueself she morphed from the horrible old woman to a huge great horned dragon. It was this dragon that had "planted" the crystals and she was waiting to "harvest" them in 100 more years. When she heard that the town was taken over she had to investigate what happened. And seeing the twins, She sensed a great power from them. It would be later said that Jon's hate for their father blocked his even sensing this power. so the Dragon, named Tixoc, (TE-zoc), seeing that she would be killed if she tried to take the town back and feeling the power of the twins, bought the twins
She took the boys and taught them to use their Psionic powers, and she was surprised, that although they were twins, not all of their powers were the same. As she stayed with the boys she was in human form, she would go off for a while every day to be a dragon, and get them food. and these times that the boys were alone them had time to hone "twin" skills. Most of all telepathy. The boys had their 12th birthday; it was not a happy one. This was the second time the boy’s lives were shattered by magic users. A Group of dragons hunters came to the cave, Tixoc fought bravely but was killed, she hid the boys in the cave, this was what really got he blood flowing of the hunters, and some of them recognized them as the lost Blackowski twins. They thought the boys were prisoners of the dragon. The boys walked out to see their segregate mother transform into a huge dragon. Remus right away wanted to defend her; Lance knew it would be in vain. It was this show that the boys learned that creatures of magic were not the evil monsters they thought.
The hunters got the boys and "rescued" them the boys fought tooth and nail not to go. They were put under a sleep spell; the hunters thought the dragon had them enchanted, and how wrong they were.
The boys were taken to a village in the Federation of Magic. This is they met the person who changed their lives forever. Lars Lovegood, he was the town freak, felt the power of the boys, he took an extreme liking to these boys. What the town did not know that Larswas a Psi-Assassin, sent to kill a rich playboy Techno-wizard, Odid Jorkins, from a Group of Psionic men whom the TW cheated out of TW weapons. The deal was The TW was to make weapons for a group of Psionics; Bursters, Mind Melters, Zappers. The Group was going to use the weapons Agast a rival gang but when the weapons didn't do what they were supposed to do all but three died. These three went to see Lars' gang The Guild of Assassin's
When the boys entered the town the since was too perfect, The TW was there bringing the lost Blackowski boys and a dead dragon. He was boasting that he alone saved the twins from the dragon. Lars heard the name Blackowski and recognized it right away, Little Passes Leader who was killed, but his sons were lost Well now that they were alive and well He was going to be damned if he let a Magic user and a cheat take these boys. Lars was going to take them to where they could learn the REAL story of their past in show of speed and cunning, Lars swept up the two boys, and a small glowing knife appeared in his hand. He ran past the TW and as he did, he slit his throat, well really almost cut his whole head off, in one swift movement. Before anyone could react Lars got into a hovercraft and jetted off with the two boys. He had no idea why he needed to get the two out of there but he did.
Lars brought the boys to his Guild and pled their case. It was decided the he would teach the boys, and if they did not "learn" the ways right away they would be killed So Lars asked them on the first day of "school" about the dragon. Since he saved them from the “kidnappers” They told him everything. Seeing a chance to get these two to walk the "path" he told them how all magic humans do this, they buy their powers, but people like them are born with it. But to not get magic creature confused in that generality they too are born with "it" but human magicusers, are SCUM. And having their worlds Destroyed twice by magic users they tended to believe this.
After about 3 more years of getting their skills perfect, Lars asked if he could show them HIS way of earning a living. So More anti-human magic user redirect was ingrain into their brains and Lars shows them how to suck everything that mages need to make magic, PPE. And in the consuming of PPE they would not need to eat or drink.
It took many years for the boys to learn everything about being killers for hire. With so much death in their pastand their short past, they excelled in the art of killing. They could track a cat blind fooled up a tree and feed on it. Their final test was to feed on a human. If they could get over that they would be ready. They were put in a small town, and were given 5 hours to do it. 12 minutes later both boys came back, looking so renewed it was amazing, they were the fastest to come back since Lars himself, who took 39 minutes.
When they were finished with the training Lars gave them something they would carry forever in their minds, the TRUE story of who they were and what happened to their father. The two boys listened with mouths agape. When Lars told them how the were rescued from the dragon they told Lars that they had no idea that Tixoc was a dragon until she was killed protecting them. Lars knew about these boys having lost two parents figures, how sad. He then, thinking it would be a great treat for them knowing their last name, the great and honorable name of Blackowski. The boys looked at him as though he was crazy.
But it was the only name they had, after a few months, the boys were chomping at the bit to get out and "work". Lars went to the head of the guild and asked if the boys could get the next easy one. So they were given weapons, Remus who’s cool demeanor and calm attitude was given a sniper rifle, Lance who was a little on the more "active" Side, was given the JA assassin rifle. They were to go kill a mark who did not pay a debt, a simple job, the next day they got back with the mans ear around Lance’s neck to see a fierce battle being waged. 10 Magic Users, from the federation, had come. They were getting vengeance on the one who killed the TW Odid Jorkins, the man Lars killed.
The twins got back just in time to see Lars burned to death by a mage using the Dragon fire spell. The shock was too much. Remus and Lance went berserk, they used all the powers that they had learned to kill and feed on every last one of them. When they finished they heard a raspy voice of Lars. He told them to run away and never return back here. They had the skills to do what they wanted to do, but they needed each other, they could not part ways, blood ran thicker then water. With that he died. It was then the boys now 17 changed their name to Remus and Lance Black.
A smiling young man in his late teens, with wild blue eyes and unkempt short blond spiky hair. He has a slightly crazed look, but greets you as a hyper semi-genuine person, speaking a little too fast and looking around quickly making others a tad uncomfortable, when hired/working he appears excited, but dark and is scheming continuously, but a hair to hyper to fully follow a plan out in his head.
