Xavious Lomar

Description:Xavious Lomar, like many Demon Quellers, got into the business for fun and profit. As the only person to survive Queller Quaro's annual competition, he was selected for training. Although neither the strongest, or the fastest, or the smartest, he was the most stubborn, pressing on even after becoming paralyzed in one arm, a condition which was treated before he began schooling.

Three years later, he came down from the mountains, after having helped train the two who came in the years after him. Physically he looked only a little different. A bit broader accross the shoulders, a great deal more black tangled hair, but the same tall, pale Japanese kid who had left his hometown many seasons before.

At first, no-one believed that he had undergone Quaro's training, since he had been incommunicado for nearly three years. Everyone had assumed he had died, or simply run away, as many applicants have been known to do. It was only after snapping the statue in the town fountain in half with his bare hands was his story believed, and he was hired to be the towns new protector, second only to the Sherrif (level 13 City Rat, semi-retired.)

Six months later, though, with the rampaging warlord Nobunuga already past, he regained conciousness in the ruins of his hometown. He knew that the battle had been fierce... Nobunuga was a madman, but a madman who could convince anyone to join his ranks. Demons fought alongside power armor who fought alongside converted infantrymen, with the towns scant defenders standing in their way. Anything of value had been taken or eaten, and the rest burnt to cinders. Only his impregnable hide kept him from dying in the onslaught.

He wandered the land for weeks, depressed, slaying any demon that came even remotely near him. He didn't speak to any other humans, except to purchase food when he could not hunt. He refused payment after rescuing a family from a crimson Oni, and wordlessly returned two children to their parents after they had gotten lost. His life was now aimless, with all his friends and family destroyed.

With the last of his funds, he managed to track down a wizard of small repute in one of the border towns of the Edo state, and managed to get himself a third-class ride to the Land of Demons and Magic, the great Eastern Warzone. North America.
