                                           The Cadian 82nd Airborne

     The Cadian 82nd Airborne was produced during 0829113.M41 when seventy nine different Chaos incursions happended overthe course of three months. This alarmed the Imperial Commanders of Cadia, after much debate the newly formed 82nd Infantry Division was sent to Fort Benning to undergoe further training in paratrooper skills. This Fort was originally built to help Storm Troopers learn better tactics when using Grav-chutes. When this group of soldiers entered the base they were looked down as being "up to the task" and not "good enough". However, after the first two months of training they proved to be some of the best soldiers that went through the training but their size fell to less than two companies due to training accidents. On the last day of testing they were to make a series of five jumps in order to graduate. During take off a Chaos incursion was reported and the local ground forces were not close enough to stop the force. The 82nd changed course towards the report and were deployed one kilometer from the target. After arriving on the ground and losing one platoon in the forest. The remaining comapany set off towards the objective. Ten minutes later the soldiers were trading fire with the Traitor Marines. In less than four hours the fight was over and the traitor's were completly wiped out. This was a succes because of the 4th Fighter Wing was able to produce 2 low-level, slow bombers that were able to keep the marine's at bay from the guardsman. After the battle and the 5th Cadian Armoured Company arrived on scene they were amazed to see that the battle was over and that new recruits had won the war.

      Less than two years later the Division was at full strength backed up by the 4th Fighter Wing and it was shipped off to the new battle on Armaggedon.
