From the age as old as time many things were revealed about the nature of what GOD had designed as the most dominant among HIS
creation - the human beings. The most amazing part of that nature is man's prosperity to build and destroy.
Humanity etablished great civilizations. But greed and envy would push fellow human beings to violence. Because of which suc great great civilizations
tumbled like dominoes, one after the other, until the most dominant emerged.
History is wrought with stories written in blood - tribes fighting other tribes, nations against nations and races against races. There are stories about battles,
wars conflicts, and revolutions that clearly show that men are blood-thirsty. So much so that a nation would plunge into a war even over a single square meter
of territory.
Can't human exist without having to fight even a single battle? Or are war necessary tp push humanity to the greatest heights of glory?
Old magis conceptualized war as the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy that an infinite chaos would dawn into the civilized world when tame creatures methamorphose into
voracious beasts. Beasts so outwardly beautiful, so magnificently intelligent but with hearts hardened by violence and with way that are so barbaric - MEN. Men
who mastered the beastly rule " an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth".
War is horrifying. Mutilated bodies and decomposing corpeses, skulls and hearts pierced by bullets, and innards protruding caused by sharp knives and swords. On its aftermath, thousands
are orphaned and many more become homeless. Grief reigns. Anxiety overcomes those families hoping for that day when their beloved would returned to their homes
alive and unharmed.
Only one celebrates when revolutions and complicts erupt - the DEVIL. Nobody could be happier that Satan when bullets and blades diabolically pierce human flesh.
As a Writer said;" When war begins then Hell opens ". It becomes a feast day for death.
Philosophers would agree that conflicts would bring out the best of men. But what about the worst that tag along. Many brillant minds glamorized war. One of them once insisted that
" Terrible as is war, it yet displays the spiritual grandeur of man daring to defy his mightiest hereditary enemy - death."
When such daring display done in defense of oneself or a nation, it is justifiable. " When war is necessary it is just," so goes the saying. People marching in the valleys of death to vanquish oppression
and tyrrany is a picture of unparalleled bravery, it is courageous act. Going to war for the preservations of a nation's sovereingnty is an act of heroism.
The forces of the good and evil fight a perpetual path. When one decides to uphold the cause of the good, resorting to arm becomes righteous.
But more often than not, mankind apply their combative instincts to gratify their love of plunder, destruction and absolute authority.
Most specially during the dark ages and the era of colonation, powerful nations were like monsters plundering helpless undeveloped countries, killing
those who resist, raping not only the women of the subjagated nations but their cultural heritage as well.
During times the above happened, no hope remained on the victims of colonial tyrants but to resort to armed straggles. Such a war was degnified on the part of wronged,
of course. But among the tyranic monsters, such a war was a condemnation. The death they got was well-deserved punishment.
But war, be it justifiable or otherwise, is ugly. War, although resorted to in order to forge peace, is a devil's wprkshop for the death and the destruction it brings forth
deliver unbeatable, pain and endless regrets.
When will man learn that war is futile? Nobody wins in a battle. On both sides, death and destruction would do inflicted. On both sides, agonizing cries over the dead
of beloved husbands and sons will be heard.
But could there be end to WARS? None! for as long the forces of evil continue to display their horrifying fangs, the vanguards of goodness will forever be vigilant.
