PUTTING ON MY STRIPE

Here is where I started, no stripe, fresh paint, before clearcoating.

Here is the stripe masked off and painted. I didn't take a picture of the masking before painting, sorry.

Here is the finished stripe. It is a custom stripe carrying the 500 for my Charger 500

 

The size of the stripe was determined by looking at a few pictures of the Bumble Bee stripes and comparing the size to my Charger. I used the side marker light as a guide for the size of the wide stripe and then simply used 3/4 inch masking tape for the distance between the wide stripe and the smaller side stripes. The 3/4 inch masking tape was also used for the width of the side stripes. I dropped a plumb line to mark where the stripe should go on the sides.
