Constructing the Cheemaun Form
(Another fine design from Rollin Thurlow)

As usual, everything starts with some rough lumber - in this case a 2x8 piece of spruce.....
Trace, cut, and belt sand pairs of station molds from plywood....
Mount brackets for all of the station molds on the strong back......
Mount the station molds to the strong back......
Ready to mount the rail backer to the station molds - this was one of the hardest things to do - all of these bends are done without steam. These are 16' pieces of clear pine - not easy to find, expensive, and puts the pressure on you to not break them.....no problem for my "nerves of steel".....(I could always blame it on the boy....)
