The domesticated pet ferret has no homing instincts. This means if you take your ferret outside, unless it is constrained in some way, it could get loose and lost. Since ferrets have also lost their skills at foraging for food, this means your ferret could starve if it does not perish from the elements, attack by a wild animal, or trying to cross a road.

WarmFuzzy offers several ways to take your ferrets outside and keep them safe.


Our harnesses come with ever-adjusting Velcro© fasteners in a multitude of exciting colors. Their H-style design prevents the ferret from choking if the harness needs to be pulled suddenly. This design is also difficult to escape from as long as the fit is snug.

Harnesses come in three sizes:

Small - for kits and sprites (ferrets under 6 months of age and spayed adult females)
Medium - for jills and gibs (breeding females and altered males)
Large - for hobs (breeding males, 4-6lbs.)

Leads and Tandems:

These items come in the same exciting colors as the harnesses, with metal snap hooks for a secure hold. Leads are three feet long - any longer and your ferret will either tie you or itself up in knots! Tandems are a foot in length, and allow you to walk two ferrets at once.



Ferret Carry Bags:

Complete with adjustable shoulder strap and outside pocket for carrying treats. Inside, your ferret's harness can be snapped into a hook that allows full movement in this bag, but prevents free-falls. Colors and patterns vary, but there is always something to match any harness. This bag comes in sizes for one or two ferrets.

Hanging Tent Hammocks:

Made from the same material the carry bags are offered in, these hanging hotels offer upper and lower sleeping chambers. Whether your ferret prefers a hammock or cozy darkness, this tent offers both. It can be hung from the cage ceiling or hung in carriers to a maximum width of 18 inches.
