Charge started to look around another power was coming. It wasn’t very big but there’s no telling who or what it is. Charge looked back at Devlon who was smiling, Devlon flew at Charge and tried to punch him, Charge veered up avoided the attack and kicked Devlon in the face. Devlon backed up holding his face, he blasted at Charge and Ogre grunted and tried to distract Charge. Charge didn’t notice the blast until it was a few feet away and he punched the blast. The blast was easy to deflect and Ogre smiled and Charge knew what his comrade has done, he has shown Devlon’s weak point, even lower fighters easily deflect his energy! Charge lunged at Devlon and then Devlon grabbed Charge by the arm and threw him into the ground, Charge flew back up and started to glow. Charge looked to his left and saw a Draganom floating not too far away, he was scared and his armor was blood stained. He had a sword and a laser vulcan gun on his back, Charge has never seen him before. Devlon turned smiled and said, “Chris, so glad you could make it. I never thought you’d try and finish what Spott Heed started years ago.” Chris frowned and said, “Our life force is linked, I want to die but I can’t as long as you’re alive.”
Charge gasped, he has read about the legendary warrior Chris, he supposedly died in Devlon’s castle! Charge said, “How can this be?” Devlon smiled and said, “After I was wounded the castle started to fall, yes I was defeated but not dead. The sword wasn’t in long enough to take effect and kill me but it did hurt like hell. I found him half-dead after killing my fiery elemental demon and I combined our life force so I could survive. His survival was just a byproduct.” Chris said, “Damn you, damn you! I can’t believe that it’s my fault you’re still alive!” Charge looked and saw Yonclearo staring straight at Chris; Yonclearo flew up between Charge and Chris. Devlon said, “My demons return!” The fighting between the S.S.F. and the demons ceased and returned to the ground. Charge said “Everyone get as far away from here as possible, get back to the base and find out anything on defeating him. Go now!” Everyone knew the drill and started back to the base. Devlon said, “This isn’t very fair is it, three against one.” Charge created an Ice Staff (a special elemental staff Charge got from the great whale you’ll learn more soon) and held it in both hands. Chris drew his sword and slashed at Devlon who blocked with his sword. Yonclearo swung his sword and Devlon blocked with a new shield replacing his damaged one. Devlon laughed but then Charge was behind Devlon and started to beat Devlon’s spine with his staff. Devlon had to endure or else two swords would chop him in to several pieces. Finally Devlon gave out and purposely moved into the direction of Chris’s sword, avoiding the demon hunter’s sword. Devlon hollered in pain but pulled himself off of Chris’s sword. Charge looked surprised as the demonic saurian regenerated himself. Devlon slashed at Chris and broke Chris’s sword. Chris drew a dagger and stabbed Devlon in the chest. Devlon grabbed the knife and stuck it in Chris’s arm, Chris roared in pain as the knife went all the way through his arm. Charge slammed Devlon in the face with his staff and made Devlon lose a few teeth. Devlon surprisingly regenerated his teeth and said, “If you’re aiming for my teeth, you’re going small.” Charge said, “Hey your face is like a road map, I’m just making different stops to drop off loads of pain.” Yonclearo slashed Devlon in the back and Devlon came around and kicked Yonclearo. Yonclearo backed up a bit and blood slowly poured from his chin. Yonclearo wiped it away and thought nothing of it.
Charge thought that this fight would take forever and then he got an idea, he flew at Devlon who slashed at Charge. Charge leapt away from the sword’s path and slammed the bottom of the staff on Devlon’s head. Devlon’s head was now bleeding from the hit and Charge took the staff aside then slammed it into the side of Devlon’s head. Devlon stayed aside and then saw Yonclearo heading towards him, he punched Yonclearo and Yonclearo’s sword fell and Chris picked it up. Chris flew at Devlon and slashed, and a massive sword fight began and then Charge kicked Devlon in the back. Devlon turned and fired a blast at Charge and he deflected it. Devlon turned and saw Chris heading towards him. Devlon couldn’t avoid it and held his sword out. The demon hunter’s sword pierced Devlon and Devlon’s sword pierced Chris, both spat up blood and spit.
Charge couldn’t believe what he was seeing, and saw both fighters fall to the ground from forty feet up. Devlon couldn’t pull the sword out and the more he tried the deeper it sank, Chris was laughing under his breath with what energy he had left. Charge raced over to Chris and said, “Are you okay, why did you do that?” Chris said, “Is he did, is the bastard dead?” Charge looked over at Devlon who was twitching and with a pool of blood beneath him. Charge said, “Yeah, I think so.” Chris said, “Now finally I can die, as I should of so long ago.” Chris’s eyelids fell and so he died.
Charge heard something he turned around and saw Yonclearo retrieving his sword from Devlon’s lifeless corpse. Charge said, “You, who are you? Why did you help us?” Yonclearo facing away from Charge said, “My name is Yonclearo, Devlon was half demon, I had to kill him. My sword struck him even though it was not me who dealt the finishing blow; I do mourn Chris’s death though as anyone in my situation would. Come let us bury the dead.” After the burial Yonclearo disappeared and Charge was traveled home.
