The power lit up the sky as Charge and Shock raced back to the city, Charge said, “That north tower, the one shaped like a television is where his lab is, the new fighter is there as well. As soon as I encounter whatever the hell it is you run in and help Red Blast! No matter what you hear on the outside don’t come out until the deed id done!” Shock said, “What if you lose.” Charge looked at Shock and said, “I don’t plan to!” Charge and Shock flew past Ug’s old barracks and left a vapor trail from their auras.
The S.S.F. members were all gathered and a conscious Yonclearo said, “You know, I think that I’m going to take a long break after this.” Bartholomew said, “Other things are at hand, we have to sort through that building and see if anything survived.” Snapper led the fighters into the demolished building and was just a crater full of wreckage. Shockwave caught something out of her eye and lifted her foot. A crystal lay beneath her foot; it was green on one side and blue on the other. She pocketed it thinking it was pretty and wanted it for later. She couldn’t help but think why would an evil freak of nature keep a beautiful trinket as such lying about. Ug busted through the wall and fired an energy blast. Iggy knocked it away and said, “You dirty little human, haven’t you learned that revenge serves no purpose. Big-claw learned it why can’t you?” Ug looked at Big-claw and said, “You traitor!” Everyone was stunned, why was Big-claw a traitor? He continued, “I rebuilt you and this is how you repay me!” Big-claw’s eyes widened and then he shuddered. He then snarled at Ug, Ug said, “All of you have no idea what I am if you knew…” Big-claw yelled, “QUIET!”
Charge and Shock landed at the building and there the power was. Charge said, “Get ready, here he comes!” Of all enemies Shane Winters with a new leg, a half-cybernetic arm, and robotics imbedded in his torso from his right shoulder to his left rib cage. Shock said, “Who is he?” Charge said, “Shane Winters I presume?” Shane grinned and said, “Yeah, sure what you said.” Charge grinned and said, “Shock this shouldn’t take long, get him in the lab.” Shock ran into the lab and Charge went into a defensive stance. Shane walked up to Charge and lit up an aura. Charge lit up an aura of his own and then Shane punched at Charge and missed. Charge slammed his knee into Shane’s side and Shane went to the ground. Shane got up and said, “So you think your improved do you, well let’s just see about that!” Shane punched Charge and knocked him down. Charge done a foot sweep (knocking Shane off of his feet with a kick) and knocked Shane down. Charge punched Shane in the chest, hard. Shane spit up blood and looked at Charge. Shane punched at Charge and missed. Charge rotated his fist cutting skin and denting steel. Shane yelled and Charge’s hand lit up, he blasted Shane into the ground and created a square crater going down many feet. Out of the dark crater Shane flew out and punched at Charge and Charge blocked with his forearm. Shane tried several more times and Charge kept blocking. Charge said, “Not bad, let’s stop the sand bagging.” Shane smiled and said, “Yeah sure.”
Shock carried Red Blast to a table and cleared the stuff off of it with his tail. He lay him on the table. Red Blast had one arm now, his torso cut up badly, and his face crushed. Shock grabbed a few pieces of metal and some tools and said, “Damn it, I don’t know if I can do this! Red Blast just hold on!” He made his wrist blade come out and he started to cut Red Blast’s torso and blood sprayed on his face. Charge elbowed Shane in the top of the head. Shane backed up and punched Charge in the chest. Charge backed up and threw five blasts at his foe. Shane ran right avoiding two, he ran left and avoided two more. He jumped up and avoided the last one but it came around again. Shane saw Charge moving his fingers on one hand that was outward and then Shane looked around and Charge’s five blasts came around and exploded upon Shane. Shane was in a distorted position and gained balance he said, “Nice trick, I didn’t see that one coming but HA!” Shane shot a blast at Charge and he grabbed it. Charge’s feet skidded back a bit and Shane was still applying power to his blast. Charge skidded backwards some more and said, “THAT’S ENOUGH!” and applied a blue blast knocking Shane’s blast back at Shane. He grabbed a hold of the blast and it exploded. Charge was now panting, he had used a lot of energy on Shane and he wasn’t willing to do it again. Shane limped out of the smoke and said, “I didn’t know you were this powerful. I guess I’ll have to apply more power.” Charge said, “Your own power is the reason that you just were injured.” Shane said, “Maybe so, but I’ve been holding back!” Charge’s eyes widened, he couldn’t believe it. Shane continued, “That’s right, Ug’s not a genius for nothing. He just wanted to use you for irony, but I am the real prize. Your power was limited while he done everything he could to make me the best! The reason why he rebuilt me is because I shared a link with one of you, Kick star. He could of rebuilt any Dark Horders, and he rebuilt me and Big-claw. Big-claw and I were the smartest of the entire horde but it seemed as if I would be the only one left to carry out our original objective. Now I show you what I’ve been holding back, prepare yourself!” Charge went into his classic defensive stance and watched. Shane raised his hands and a gray aura surrounded him and his power grew. Charge watched in horror and saw his opponent become larger and in almost every way more powerful than he. Charge said, “This is bad.” Shane’s power was still growing.
