One month since the Cloaked Disease incident, Bartholomew was walking through a forest on the eastern coast of Meslin with Lizoid and Shock. Lizoid said, “Something’s near.” Shock said, “I heard it to.” A head crashed through the foliage and lashed out at the fighters. They flew up and Lizoid said, “Its just an albertasaur, I guess as long as we stay here there’s nothing to worry about.” Shock said, “Look at it, its still running. It wasn’t after us, maybe something’s after it?” Bartholomew said, “Dragon Castle isn’t far from here, we should be there by nightfall and then we can transport the disks back home.”
After five hours they arrived at Dragon castle, the biggest building in Meslin. Rexen tower was the tallest but Dragon Castle covered forty acres, it was lined with countless towers beautiful gardens, catapults, cannons, and walls to keep enemies out of the castle including a draw bridge. Bartholomew said, “I haven’t been home in so long. I’m so glad to be back where I belong.” Lizoid said to Shock, “I’ve never seen him this happy have you?” Shock replied, “I didn’t even think that he had that emotion.” As they walked up to the castle a tower exploded. A cloaked figure flipped and landed beside the three companions. Lizoid caught a glimpse of who he was and chased after him. Shock said, “Who was that?” Lizoid while running said, “Devlon, he’s back!” Bart and Shock looked at one another in surprise and then ran after Lizoid.
The figure threw off his cloak to reveal Devlon who hadn’t changed a bit and he was carrying some golden disks. Lizoid who with his training since Devlon had become stronger jumped on Devlon and slammed him to the ground. Devlon dropped his disks and lay on the ground at Lizoid’s mercy. He got up and started running and Lizoid gave chase. Devlon was gone when Lizoid reached a clearing with a stream. He looked upstream and saw a Nano-tyrannus fighting a kentrosaurus. The therapod cornered the plant eater (a kentrosaurus was about 8 feet long and four feet high. It belongs to the stegosaur family of dinosaur and looks very much like its famous cousin stegosaurus except that it sported spikes upon its shoulders, and halfway down its back to the end of the tail.) The Nano grabbed the kentrosaur by the neck and tried to snap it. The kentrosaur turned around and whapped the Nano with its tail spikes cutting open a small wound in its adversary’s thigh. Finally the Nano snapped the kentrosaur’s neck and brought the dinosaur down for a much hard-earned meal. Lizoid ran up to the Nano and said, “Sorry for the interruption but have you seen a stegosaur Draganom pass by here?” The Nano looked and said, “Why yes I have, Xiah you seen him right!” Another Nano-tyrannus walked out of the foliage; it seemed that he was hiding for some reason. Lizoid saw Bart and Shock catching up and then Lizoid said, “Devlon is back, that was him and you need to tell us where he went!” Shock and Bart had the golden disks in hand for it was what they came to Dragon castle to get in the first place.
Three hours later, there was no sign of Devlon. Every saurian knows of him even the ones who have no dealings with society, the ones who cannot speak or evolve. Shock said, “It’ll be three days before we can reach home or even get contact out of this jungle.” Xiah said, “Well I guess you can stay with our pack for a while we’re heading that way.” Lizoid said, “Sure, but we do have the disks right?” Shock holding the disks nodded his head. Bartholomew said, “Well Zero, wear is the rest of your pack, we haven’t seen them.” Zero the other Nano-tyrannus said, “They were here and then Xiah came and said that they went west.” Lizoid said, “How many are in your pack?” Zero said, “Well we’re rather large, at least twenty.” Lizoid has never heard of a heard of predators that huddled in that kind of pack. Lizoid said, “Well I guess we should go after them, we can go home anytime. I can track practically anything.” Zero said, “Well then its agreed we’ll find the pack.”
Lizoid lead the way, he tracked footprint after footprint. He examined beds where the herd had rested and where they were going. Lizoid suddenly realized, this time of year the tyrannial gathering festival of life was abroad. Every Nano-tyrannus, tyrannosaur, albertasaur, and neo-rex was indeed going and that’s why there were so many therapods in one pack. The tyrannial gathering was a fighting tournament that would pit the males against one another to win females this was mating season. There would be hundreds of therapods going, and it was the most dangerous place in Meslin. Lizoid said, “Be on guard, hundreds of therapods will be around you, this is a very dangerous trail we are going on. I am half therapod so I’ll say this, kill nothing, fight nothing, and most of all keep an eye out for Devlon!”
