THE SETTING IS STARLIGHT CITY ONE MONTH AFTER THE DARK HORDE ATTACK. Big Tech was in charge of a lot of products for Meslin’s scientific world. Their studies in bio-genetics and biotechnology were unsurpassed in Meslin. Big Tech though was breaking a law, NO GENETICLY ENGINEERED BEINGS. The king, Rexen, set this law.
Lizoid was home; it was a small wrecked building in the Night Warrior village. It was filled with staffs, books on war, mythology, and magic. He was reading a book on legends, on Big-claw that of which had been defeated. Lizoid was wandering; wandering if Big-claw was really dead. Lizoid returned his book and walked outside. The village was the ruins of an entire civilization’s city. Lizoid walked to another house, his best friend Saura’s home. Lizoid walked in, there was Saura watching television. Charge was on TV he had busted a major company named Big Tech for illegal experimenting. Lizoid exclaimed, “What’s Charge doing on TV!” The reporter was a Draganom, saying that Charge sensed a weird energy and decided to check Big Tech out. He had found a sub-basement with a force field protecting eight biologically engineered creatures.
The policing forces dubbed S.C.A.L.E. was there, Charge said to the reporter, “I knew something was going on, Big Tech has records that show of these experiments for the last ten years. Apparently they were working for a human called Black Ug, the president of the corporation. I sensed something weird and went in, I busted through the sub-basement and caught it all.” Lizoid was watching it all on TV with Saura who said, “Big Tech has been looking for our village for years. I don’t understand why this would happen.” Suddenly the compound exploded Charge looked for any trace of enemy power; he questioned if it was Big-claw and shuddered. He sensed nothing meaning that it was a fail-safe, destroying the compound’s evidence. The sub-basement slightly caved, several SCALEs were investigating and suddenly the protective field went off. Seven monsters busted out of their barred cages. One looked like a saurapod, but covered in spikes and fins. The second had two tails, pincers, and no legs; it had a head like a croc. Number three looked like a stegosaur but had pillar like legs, a tail club, and two heads. Four looked tyrannosaurian in nature and had two large spikes on its back; it had a wild look in its eye. Five through seven were the same, Pteronadon looking humans with enlarged hands and wings on their backs and beaks for mouths. The eighth was in a box labeled X-1, it was hitting the box around, the box was shielded by itself preventing the escape of this horrible creature. The seven escapees zoomed out of the hole that was their home for ten years, and flew and ran in different directions. Charge looked in confusion; these things had powerful auras and couldn’t be traced after they got out of sight.
Lizoid still glued to his friend’s TV watched in terror as feral animals raced into the lush jungles of Meslin. Night warriors hated feral animals like elephants or rats, but these things; they resembled nothing like anything Lizoid has ever seen. The X-1 box exploded, its contents vanished suddenly an arm lashed out and killed all of the SCALE members in the basement. It flew out of the hole, it had a human-like head with some kind of horn on its head and it had wings. It was tall; its power was that of an elite fighter like of an S.S.F. member. It had wings and was completely muscular sporting a tail and a bad attitude. It ran off in the distance but some armored fighter slammed it down. As Charge got up from the assault the creature sneered and roared. Charge returned with a horrifying roar that intimidated the beast. Suddenly it jumped into the forest and Charge right after it. Charge lost sight of the creature and cursed it.
At S.S.F. headquarters Charge had called upon Lizoid. As Lizoid entered the room Charge offered him a seat, Charge said, “I know you are a Night Warrior. You need not hide it from me.” Lizoid shuddered; he had tried to keep that a secret to protect his village. Charge continued, “You being what you are can only track these creatures. You can help I know of a Night Warrior’s natural hatred for feral animals. That one I attacked, it will lay eggs in five days according to Big Tech reports. If this happens these things could take the land from us, they’re extremely powerful and a whole race of a-sexual beings could wipe us out with their sheer numbers and power. The others can’t breed and were just experiments, tests for the X-1’s completion. Do you think you can get your people on this, if you do I won’t tell a soul, I promise.” Lizoid thought, “That will have to be okay with the high council of my people. All of my decisions were based on their decisions. I will willingly take part if they give the say so, if not I will willingly agree with them. Charge stared; “Take me to this High Council.” Lizoid’s eyes widened, he could not let anyone see the village. He could trust Charge, couldn’t he? “I will ask the High Council.”
Lizoid and Charge were in the village, Draganom children played and trained in the streets. It was raining; children splashed in the puddles as Charge and Lizoid walked through the streets. They finally arrived at a tower, they both walked in going through a long staircase and entering a room with several dinosaurs and Draganoms in it, the Council. A voice said, “Why have you brought this outsider. I do not recall asking you to bring an outsider to the village.” Lizoid replied, “He has an idea to save Meslin with our help.” The councilman sat down and shut up, Charge said, “I mean to offend or invade no one. I come to ask of your people’s help. A creature by the name of X-1 has been impregnated and is a feral animal. I cannot track it and it may have already made a nest. This thing will make a-sexual beings and with their power, they could conquer Meslin in a matter of two years. We need you to help track them. They may find your village and kill you all.” The council got up and started discussing in a different language that Charge did not understand. Lizoid understood they were discussing the advantages and disadvantages of the plan. “Yes, the council has spoken.”
