EP.2 THE DEMON LAND’S REVIVAL
Ug shouted, “She what!?” Charge replied, “Yeah, she has the combined crystals.” Ug said, “Let us see them, we’ll lock them up!” Suddenly a scream sounded through the halls and the three took off. It was in Shockwave’s room. There was a large hole in her wall and Shockwave was bleeding, above her was a demon with a sword holding the combined jewels. Charge jumped at it but it disappeared. Ug and Hasbro jumped out of the hole in her wall in hopes of finding something, but nothing. It started to rain furiously in the night and Charge held Shockwave and ran to the med. ward as fast as he could with Hasbro and Ug following.
Charge asked Shockwave while she was sitting on her bed in her room, “Who was that?” Shockwave said, “A demon, he stole my favorite jewel.” Ug walked up and said, “That thing is two stones that are combined. Any day now the land will be teaming with demons.” Hasbro asked, “Can I bring my family up here? It’s not safe with all of this going on.” Charge said, “Hey, we left your room untouched when you left so you still have a home here.” Hasbro said, “Thanks, I’ll be back in a few.” Hasbro ran out of the room and then Charge said to Ug, “So where are the other two crystals?” Ug said, “In my other lab, here.” Charge said, “Wait, why didn’t you tell me this earlier?! What if the demon got it!?” Ug said, “There’s no way! I have a great security system and I know that I would have been alerted if something happened.” Charge said, “Well let me see it then.”
When they arrived at the lab the whole thing was split open. The place had been ransacked and raided, to Ug’s surprise the jewels had been taken. Charge said, “It would seem that this Sabastion will be resurrected. It was probably inevitable anyway.” Ug said, “I’m sorry, I would guess that this is all my fault. I should have told you about all of this but…” Charge said, “What, what is it?” Ug said, “I fought in the demonic war.” Charge’s eyes widened. Ug continued, “I was much more powerful back then. I fought Sabastion and with a sorcerer at my side we set him into four separate pieces, the jewels that the demons sought. The truth of the matter is I wasn’t fighting to end the war I was eliminating competition. The sorcerer betrayed me and set me to a human state until he was killed. Being in that state I lost a lot of power but I still managed to kill the sorcerer.
Charge said, “So where do we go from here?” Ug said, “It’s already too late. He’ll be resurrected by the stroke of five AM, the same time I defeated him. It’s four fifty nine!”
A massing horde of demons gathered around the four crystals that were now one. One demon held the crystals up high and chanted something, “Mah who clee baha who tala, Mah who clee baha who tala, Mah who clee baha who tala.” Over and over again the demon chanted until the crystals glowed a bright white. The demon slammed the crystal upon the ground and busted it into pieces. A purple smoke came out of the decimated pieces of the crystal and started to form.
Charge and Ug lifted their heads and Charge said, “Is this Sabastion?” Ug said, “Yes, and the first thing he’s going to do is try and kill me!” Back to the demons, Sabastion was large. He had four legs and four arms, he had two arms and his face looked disturbingly familiar. One demon said, “Are you going to do it? We’ve waited long enough!” Sabastion paid no attention as he rose his arm and fired a black energy into the sky. Clouds covered the demon lands shrouding it from most of the sunlight that would usually grace the landscape. Sabastion ceased the energy and then took his arm that was pointing upward and then he slammed the ground with it. The ground around him and the demons cracked and hundreds upon thousands of demon arose from that spot.
Charge said, “Someone’s coming!” Both Charge and Ug turned around and seen Yonclearo, Charge said, “Yonclearo, yes, you probably already know what’s going on then don’t you?” Yonclearo nodded his head and said, “The demon lord Sabastion has returned. I will not let him take over Meslin.” Charge said, “He’s already reclaimed the demon lands.” Yonclearo exclaimed, “How did this happen!?” Ug said, “I had all four crystals but they were stolen from me by demons.” Yonclearo growled.
Hordes of jumping demons scurried and made noises, Sabastion said, “Now to kill Freakin Ug, he must be weak in his old age, wait. I have a better Idea!” Sabastion laughed and turned around and walked off disappearing into the crowd of resurrected demons. Back at the S.S.F. base: Charge said, “Well we need to go now.” Hasbro had returned with his family and was geared up for the fight. Charge continued, “Hasbro, your family will stay here. We have plenty of protection here.” Hasbro said, “So, it’s just us four is it? Well I hope that we can survive the massing hordes of demons.” Yonclearo said, “Once we kill Sabastion the demons will return to the earth unless he’s found someone to keep the channel open.” Charge said, “Well it’s now or never. Let’s go!”
Charge and the other three warriors were flying to the center of the demon lands when hundreds of energy blasts flew at them. Charge said, “What the hell!” one of the blasts skimmed Hasbro’s face cutting the skin around his eye open. Hasbro started to trail blood and was still avoiding the blasts. Ug looked down and said, “Sabastion!” There was Sabastion and in all four hands were energy blasts. Sabastion quickly fired them all and it resulted in a massive explosion that engulfed the four fighters. Sabastion laughed as the explosion decimated the land.
NEXT TIME ON WAR OF LAND XTRA FIGHTERS COME FROM THEIR HOMES TO REJOIN THE S.S.F. AND HELP RESOLVE THE NEW CONFLICT! TROUBLE RISES THOUGH AS HASBRO IS THE ONLY FIGHTER THAT RETURNS.
