WORLD'S FIRST PALOMINO FOUR IN HAND.

I worked and lived on an estate,
90 miles north of Montreal at a ski resort area, Mont Tremblant Lodge,
Quebec, Canada.
This was July 1946 when I came to Canada, at Dufferin Haven,
home of 20 beautiful show horses.
Hackney, harness horses, 3 and 5 gaited saddle horses.
The two years I spent there was absolutely stunning and educational.

GROOMING

I was held responsible for a three gaited,
and five gaited huge dark chestnut stallions.
Two of the palominos also came under my care.
Needless to say - the stable had every convenience possible.
Including a school, on the mountainside, for the employees children.

You can imagine the grooming required to keep these horses pampered.
I sure learned to groom.

Horsed around enough........ now, I have gone
completely to the dogs. Edith and I now care for 14 dogs,
including 6 whites. Showing a brace, regardless of colour,
gives me more satisfaction than competing for points.

Dreama....In loving memory.

A poem that has special meaning to us.

This is King , one of the white collies we've finished from our breeding.
