| Buffy returns to Sunnydale after spending the summer in L.A. Two new characters are introduced this season: Spike and Drusilla - Vampires, looking for a "blood fest". Note: Angel sired Drusilla years ago. When they come to town, they move in with the "anointed one" (who Spike later kills). Buffy and Angel consummate their relationship, causing Angel's vampire ways to come out. He turns into Angelus and tries to kill her. After going around as Angelus for a while, tormenting Buffy, she has no choice but to send him to hell. Yet another character is introduced this season: Oz, who instantly catches Willow's eye. Buffy died (last season) and was instantly replaced by a new slayer, Kendra. The two become good friends but she doesn't last for long. Kendra was killed by Drusilla. Xander and Cordelia become an item. We learn that Jenny Calendar comes from a long line of gypsy's, the very ones who cursed Angel by giving him a soul. Angel (as Angelus) kills Jenny Calendar because she was going to restore his soul. We learn that Oz is a werewolf. The Scooby gang now has to lock Oz up the night before each full moon to prevent him from hurting anyone. Buffy has to kill Angelus before Acathla can rise. Just before she kills him, Willow does a spell and restores his soul. Buffy is talking to her Angel and they share a great cry but she has to still kill him, and she does, in one of the most touching scenes ever. |

Inca Mummy School A beautiful Inca princess who was buried alive in a tomb 500 years ago is brought back to life. Reptile Boy Buffy and Cordelia attend a frat party where they are offered as human sacrifices to a reptile-like creature. Halloween On Halloween, Buffy and her friends patronize an unusual costume shop—where customers turn into whatever costume they are wearing. Lie to Me Buffy is lured into a trap by a group of undead wannabes who hope that Spike will make them vampires in exchange for giving him the Slayer. The Dark Age Giles' past comes back to haunt him as a demon. He and Ethan Rayne, summoned in their wild youth, seeks them out in Sunnydale What's My Line, Part I Spike brings in three professional bounty hunters to eliminate Buffy while she ponders what her profession might be if her fate wasn't already sealed. What's My Line part II Buffy joins forces with another Slayer in hopes of saving Angel from the clutches of Spike and Drusilla. Ted Bad Eggs Buffy and her friends encounter even more trouble than expected when the eggs they are given in health class turn out be prehistoric parasites that take over their lives. Surprise To give Buffy a surprise on her seventeenth birthday, Drusilla and Spike bring together the body parts of a dismembered demon who cannot be killed. Innocence Buffy and her friends battle the Judge and face an unexpected danger from Angel, who has lost his soul after experiencing a moment of true happiness. Phases Buffy and her friends discover secrets about themselves as they battle a werewolf, its hunter, and their own emotions. Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered As Valentine's Day approaches... Xander tries to improve his love life through witchcraft-and finds himself with too much of a good thing. Old Passion Angel steps up his torment of Buffy and her friends as Jenny searches for a way to restore his soul. Killed By Death While hospitalized with a severe case of the flu, Buffy battles a demon that sucks the life out of sick children. I Only Have Eyes For You Sunnydale High School is haunted by the ghosts of a former student and teacher who reenact their tragic romance through the bodies of the school's current inhabitants. Go Fish Members of the Sunnydale swim team are killed by a gill monster of unknown origin. Becoming - Part I Angel plots to revive an ancient demon bent on sweeping everything on Earth into Hell itself. Becoming - Part II Spike strikes an unlikely alliance with Buffy to keep Angel from destroying the world. |
