Chairman's Message Chairman of Warriors, David Ingram has issued the following statement: "As chairman of this football club, im here to clarify a few rumours that have been circulating. Firstly, we have received offers for both Charles Lacey and Andy Law from leading Nationwide League clubs. The clubs in question are Peterborough United, Boston United and Lincoln City. Monetry offers have been recived., and we are currently comparing them. We are in talks with the players in question, and are seeking their oppinion. On the other matter of Orlando Prestidge's job. At no time during this season has his job been unsafe. He and Thomas Woolley are doing a stirling job in my oppinion, and have done well to keep the club at their present position, 10th in the table. He has got a low budget, and is playing with a fairly amateur club. He is doing his best. Lastly, as far as i know, there was no training ground bust-up, just a lively discussion on the future of the two players in question. Orlando Prestidge and Thomas Wolley didn't complain of any problems. Thanks for yopur consideration, but can all players remember that they are semi-professional footballers under the pay and registration of Fenland Warriors fc. They must remember it is their duty to stay loyal and committed at all times." Issued 24.10.03 Prestidge Saves Job, But Can He Save Squad? (19/10/2003) Manager Orlando Prestidge silenced his critics after his teams impressive 2-0 victory over Kirkley. Goals from Andrew Law and Charles Lacey secured the victory and good performances all round added to the impressive display, watching from the touchlines Orlando Prestidge's fate was sealed by his players. Manager Orlando Prestidge gave us this statement, " I am very happy with this performance, it showed our squad playing at their best and it was too good for the home team and hopefully it will prove too good for the other teams in the league." The problem that Orlando Prestidge faces is keeping his team fit, and away from injury, the team needs to keep a full strength squad if it is to push for promotion this season. Also today, rumours started of a bust up between manager Orlando Prestidge and striker Charles Lacey after the striker claimed that he unhappy of " deputising" for other players. Charles Lacey stormed out of training and refused to train with the team until an agreement was made, he released this statement to Craig's Two Cents today, " I am unhappy with the management at the minute because of their attitudes towards me and the fact I am not getting put into my place in the team first choice, instead I am deputising for players that shouldn't be in the team in the first place". Team Bust Up (20/10/2003). Following Charles Lacey's comments yesterday, it is believed that several first team players confronted the striker at his home earlier this morning about his comments. Charles Lacey is unhappy at the minute with the team and has criticised several other players about their ability and their standing in the squad. We don't know yet about what exactly happened but we shall inform you when we do. It is also believed that Charles Lacey has had talks with several Nationwide League teams about an exit from Low Road, apparently after his bust up with manager Orlando Prestidge. He has been spotted at several stadiums across the area in the past few days including Sincil Bank and York Street. Law And Lacey On The Move (23/10/2003). With no conclusion so far to the bust up between manager Orlando Prestidge and striker Charles Lacey, it has been rumoured in the tabloids about offers being put in by Nationwide League teams for the striker. Also, fellow team mate Andrew Law has also been rumoured to be on the move from Low Road having only been there for 2 weeks after several offers were also put in for him after being scouted by several teams. Manager Orlando Prestidge failed to comment when we asked him what exactly was happening at the club during a training session, with Charles Lacey absent again, although Andrew Law was present, he gave us this comment, " Several offers have been made, but at the minute i am letting the team deal with it all". It is believed that the several players that confronted striker Charles Lacey on Monday were Craig Baker, Eddie Hewitt and Thomas Cooley, although we have no details about what they did, it is believed there was no violence and that some peace has been restored. Apologies (24/10/2003). Being an unofficial media source for the Fenland Warriors, we survive as a news group mainly on speculation and rumour that we receive by e-mail, telephone ad even by mouth. Several of our latest stories have led to disciplinary actions towards our reporters after investigation of false news. Several of the stories posted have infact been completely false, and as a respectable news group, Craig's Two Cents would like to make an apology to the Fenland Warriors and all the playing staff, but mainly to the fans who have had to read these fictional stories. The reporters have been removed from the squad to give you 100% guarantee that the stories from now on will be 100% truth. As I say again, we apologize for any harm it has caused for any of the readers, and now aim to find the truth. |
