History
Two school friends, Orlando Prestidge and Jamie Ingram, formed the club in 1994. They collected together a group of friends from school, and entered a team in the Wisbech and District Sunday League. Orlando Prestidge took position as player manager, and they played their first home games at Barton Road playing field in Wisbech. Their first kit was White shirts, black shorts, and white socks. They won the league with ease in their first season, beating Gaultree to the title by five points. The next year they decided to enter the team in the Lynn and Isle Combination League, and changed the kit to two blue shirts, the colour of their old school kits. Again they won the title first time round, winning a last day showdown with Walsoken 2-1.
The Warriors upon promotion, decided to join the Peterborough League. They moved from Wisbech to Sutton St James, where the facilities were up to league standards. In their first year, they won the Division 6 Championship, with Keith Martin scoring 20 goals to secure the title. They were duly promoted 2 Divisions, to Division 4, due to an extra space in that division. They started the season badly, but finished runners-up to Peterborough Rovers, and were again promoted 2 Divisions to Division 2, with Charles Lacey scoring a record 24 goals. In 1998 they secured the Division 2 title by 3 points, with James Scotney scoring 22 goals for the season. Division 1 proved a lot harder job, but they still secured the Runners-up spot with a brilliant last day performance against Gedney Hill, with Andrew Green scoring 2 of his 20 goals that season to secure us victory. Also in 1999 we reached the Semi-Final of the League cup, only to be knocked out by eventual winners Wimblington. With our 4th successive promotion, we won our way into the Premier Division. This was a record breaking season, with the Warriors winning the League title with a thrilling last day victory against title-chasers Moulton. Also we reached the Final of the League cup, only to lose out to Eye in a final at Outgang Road, home of Deeping Rangers. We applied for promotion to the Jewson League, and were proudly accepted. Thomas Woolley was appointed as joint manager, taking some of the burden off our busy player-managers shoulders.
We needed a Jewson League standard ground, so took over the empty Memorial Playing Field in Spalding. We developed it, and acquired a temporary 200-seat stand, and tempory fencing. Although it was out of the  Jewson League administrative area, we were allowed to continue, as long as we found a more suitable venue for the next season.
Our first Jewson season was turbulent to say the least. After a promising cup run, we fell behind and looked dangerously close to relegation, with some major players leaving. Despite the bad start, the management team began to pull things around, signing new players including Morgan Taylor and star goalkeeper Matt Nicholson. Another important signing was classy striker Martin Solari, who finished as top scorer with 13 goals. We eventually finished a creditable 16th place in the League.
After our first League season, we bought our present ground Low Road, in Walpole Cross Keys, and developed it, with a new 175-seat stand, and changing rooms and clubhouse up to Jewson league standard. The ground was officially opened in an inaugural match against Kings Lynn, who won 3-1. In the close season, we re-signed James Scotney and Andrew Green, and signed Eddie Hewitt and Adam Gibbons to boost our squad. We also set up a reserve team, who play in the Lynn and Isle Combination League. We are hoping for a higher placing this season, and the management team and fans hope we can push for promotion.
In the 02/03 season the club started strongly and were top for most of the season, but fell away towards the end, finishing 7th. They had a good run in the FA Cup, losing in the 2nd qualifying round to Burnham of the DMLE after a replay. They also did well in the vase, eventually being knocked out by Mickleover sports after resounding victories aginst Retford and Desborough.
Once more the whole team at Low Road look forward to a succesful season, and hope to better last years position. The only way to go is up!
