::The frequent knight returns to put his two cents in::

While it looks as though we are doing nothing, we are doing things in our own way. We have realized that the tower has fallen and that it was in a place that was not wise. I hope I speak for the knights when I say that we ment no disrespect in the guarding of your city. You are a mighty force and all know that you can protect yourself from any advance.

This is also the reason that there was no phisical confrontations... the knights don't wish to go into a fight over something that will either end up in a long lasting fight that will take all of our energies to keep the other side at bay, we also do not wish to bring harm to any more that needent have it. While war is a very honorable thing, it is not something anyone should wish for.

I do hope that in the future you will still consider the knights as someone to call upon if you ever need any help. While we do not act so violently against others and are usualy the kind who will try to find ways around a confrontation, we are quite a force when the time is needed for us to be.

::Small OOC note... I have actualy enjoyed being a middle man of sorts, trying to be a middle man of peace in all of this, it was a lot of fun and I made some new friends on both sides.::

           Hail Warriors. <salute>

We have let the knights have their rituals at the Watering Hole, but now it be time to begin the cleanup of the area. Those of you with engineering skills, contact Kazak to begin ensuring that the area be safe structurally for all the uses we have in mind for it.

Those of you with building skills, contact Hanson so that we can begin building the benches and the posts for tethering the mounts. We will also be working, if necessary, with Galaphile's temple to aid in the clearing of debris from the tunnel and lake area.

All with muscles are going to be needed so make plans accordingly.

Again, well done Warriors.

It be a new day indeed.

valdez Fri 10-Jan-03 08:41 PM

A simple elf walks past you with determination in his eyes. You sense he is deeply saddened by recent events and troubled as to the possible repercussions of actions recently taken. He approaches Chay and begins to discuss the situation with her. You edge yourself closer to them to hear the conversation...

Chay, we have a situation with the lake. The pollution will most defiantly impact the greater terris population. Not just citizens of Tranos and Devardec, but all living creatures on this land will suffer. I appreciate what you're trying to do with clean up operations but I feel they will fall short of doing what immediately needs to be done. There is no absolute solution to the problem yet, but within a few days we will have the answers we need. Can we count on you to help when the time comes?

     chay Fri 10-Jan-03 08:58 PM

acing back and forth, Chay listens to Valdez. Druid he was, but also long time friend... a seemingly odd combination. When he finished speaking she thinks a few more moments about then answers::

Friend Val... Chay and the warriors will aid ye and Songward also, so long as the plans do nay impact the security measures being put into place. While she understands yer worry about the lake, and while Chay too is concerned with water supply issue, still the plans for fixing it must be adaptable enough to include our security needs.

Believe Songward has a team working on something from Lord Galaphile's temple. Perhaps the two of ye could come up with something that would work to accomplish both needs?

         valdez Sat 11-Jan-03 12:38 AM

You see Valdez nod a few times while Chay responds to his words. You feel a sense of relief come from the aura Valdez gives off. You can tell that Valdez is at the very least a little pleased to here Chay's concerned response. Valdez puts is head down, contemplates, then raises it to look at Chay....

Thank you, Chay. Myself and other druids will begin working with what parts of Galaphile's temple have already been placed to work on the lake. When we have more information and possibly even a solution, we will return and hopefully this matter can be cleared up as quickly as it was created.

With that, Valdez bows to Lady Chay and proceeds to walk away towards Tranos's east gate and then into Nirimloth where he quaintly disappears from view

I know I am a Knight and that tensions are high. But I am also a friend to many within your guild and I would like to offer any services I can offer. I promise you that there is no security threat to worry about, I just wish to help clean up the debris that may still be there. Though I have no formal training in either engineering or building, I am quite handy with a hammer and know how to tie off logs and other simple tasks. While many of your warriors may scoff, I am a free hand to help and may be of good assistance.

Please do not look this over, my help comes to you free and with no thoughts of any revenge for any injustices. I was present when the tower fell and I did nothing because this is your city, not in a possesive manner, but it is your home and many of your claims were true. I say this as both a Knight of clear mind and as a follower of Levitican.

I would ask that if you have any other things you wish to knock down to ask them for permission first, you will find that negotiations are quite easy to work out when you discuss them first.

Once again, I am a free hand and will help as I can

   chay Sat 11-Jan-03 11:12 PM

Chay enters the area and watches the industry of the warriors. She notices Val and a couple of folks she recognizes from Gala's temple working at the far end nearest to the tunnel. Standing off to the side she notices a couple of knights also watching. One of the warriors breaks off from the working groups and approaches her, saluting crisply.

"Hail General. We're progressing nicely so far. The behemoths are a great help, thanks to the druid Valdez and Songward who helped us find the safest, surest routes through all this. Some of the ground was a bit unstable."

Chay listens and nods, grunting now and then. She points a gauntletted finger towards the watching knights. "What of them? They be causing any problems?"

"No General....in fact... they've asked to help. The one on the right there be Sir Ashton. He has requested permission to assist us in clearing the area. We've thus far refused the offer and have them guarded...there.. ::he points to the left:: off to the left there."

"Excellent work. If they wish to aid, allow them to do so. Keep them watched, but let's see if the offer is real or a subterfuge. Tell the warriors to nay torment or taunt them. They have been through enough this week. If their offer is real they deserve the respect of being left in peace."

"Aye, it will be so General."

"Yer doing a fine job here, Warrior. Keep it up. Oh.. and... " Chay turns to look back at him, a coldness lighting her eyes. "If on the chance that this is a trick, and they mean mischief, open their bellies and feed them to the behemoths." she growls softly.

"Oh ye can bet on that General... ye can bet on that."

Saluting, Chay leaves the area to return to the guild to check on another group.
=================================================================

Entering the guild she loooks over a roster posted to the central guild pillar. Northwest Tranos is currently being patrolled... excellent... heading out of thhe guild she moves to meet the patrol group.
-----------------------------

"Hail Warriors." She grumbles and salutes them crisply. "How goes it?"

"Hail General Chay" comes from several throats at once. One lad comes forward and reports, somewhat nervously "All be quiet and well, General. We've seen no sign within the city. We've had reports of groups of knights wandering the roads east of Tranos, but they did nay enter."

"Well keep yer eyes open and remember they have as much right to pass through as any other in the lands, but keep yer eye on them. So long as they do nay try to construct another tower in the city, let them be."

"Aye General, as ye command." he nods, then "General Chay?"

"Aye?" she asks, noting the young warriors nervousness and sighing.

"What of the other plan? The one that was discussed originally?"

"That plan has been effectively shut off. Their guildmaster was nay of a mind to even discuss it. They would prefer to hide and bury their heads as well as their dead. It be their choice....and their loss. Now dinna let Chay keep ye from yer task. Ye are doing well. Chay knows we can depend on ye."

The men nod and salute the Ogress crisply, their faces reddening slightly under the words of praise. With a slightly taller stance they go back to their patrol.

Chay grins, the harsh, stoic face showing a rarely seen humor in it. Chuckling to herself she heads for Stormgard, knowing she has an appointment with some "business associates" this morning.

        songward Sun 12-Jan-03 12:53 AM

Song slips in, grinning at the followers of Nature here, and raising her hand in greeting to the warriors. She drags her net behind her as she makes her way to the foreman of the time.

"Hello. I don't see Chay here at the moment, but could you tell her and Kazak that I've figured out how we can cleanse the water completely, once the rest of this is in place?"

At his nod, she turns and begins to make her way over to where her temple is working, then stops and calls over her shoulder "Oh, and does anyone know where I can find more netting?"

With a grin, she gets to work.

   zadriae Mon 13-Jan-03 02:47 AM

Zadriae's boots fall with a heavy sickening splurgh as they hit the mud that formed around the site of the destroyed tower. She looks around slowly until her eyes set upon the form of Ashton she approaches him. Seeming to hear her coming, he turns around for a moment.

In her deep dwarven voice, Zadriae says to him, "I have seen some knights already helping. I have seen warriors, druids and members of the temple of nature working hard as well. Is there one in particular I should speak to in order to offer my help?"

chay Tue 14-Jan-03 01:12 AM

     "::a new report is brought::"

Sitting in the guild, going over some papers and reviewing some of the more recent changes in the guild, Chay hears boots approaching the office. Lifting her head she sees one of the guilds pages with a rolled parchment in her hands.

"That be for Chay?"

"Aye General. It was delivered by a young woman who wouldn't tell me her name. She said you would know who it was from when you read it and that I wasn't to give it any besides you or the GM. She said she would slay me if I didn't obey this order....."

The youngster looked up at the Ogress and softly, "Would she?"

Chay chuckles, but no humor touches her eyes. "Let me see the parchment, lass." Looking it over and noticing a small mark in the bottom corner, Chay turns to the page. "Aye this one would indeed. You would be well to forget her face if she even allowed ye to see it. Ye did well in bringing this to Chay directly. Ye are dismissed. Well done." Tossing a gold piece at the girl, Chay turns back to the document.

::So.. they wish concessions about the land. It would seem the knights have nay heard of the term Rights of Conquest. Payment for land matters not a whit if it is taken by a conquering force. Still... their youngsters acquitted themselves admirably.::

She sits thinking the situation though. An apology is out of the question. Ye dinna apologize to the enemies kin for waging battle on them. Tis ludicrous. Moreso in light of the years of snubbing and arrogant attitude regarding that tower towards the Warriors. No.. they will wait till Deori turns blue for that to happen. She moves on to another position.. that of a 3rd party getting involved... No.. again the conquerer does nay ask for another's permission to retain what they have taken by force of arms. That is also nay something we would consider.

Standing and climbing the tower of the guild to look down on the site of the battle, she nods to the warriors who are working on a hoarding. They work on another area while the General stands on the battlements and considers the options.

::The mounts enjoy a watering spot near the guild and the water runs fresh and clean now.. well.. at least in this particular area. The warriors find the area a good place to sit and drink and there has even been talk of expanding the bar to include this area. A memorial.. well.. so long as what it on it met with the approval of the Warriors.. that would be something that could be legitimately considered. Afterall the intent was nay to declare formal war on the knights, simply to take back what should nay ever have been placed to begin with and to right the insult of the towers inscription.

"Aye" she speaks softly to herself. "That would be an option which could be considered." She rolls that around in her mind a few more moments as she fingers an item hanging from a small sheath at her belt taken from one of the bodies.

She turns and climbs down the tower and returns to the reports she needs to finish for sending to Tol. ::It will be interesting to see who approaches them and how.:: She chuckles, signs off the last supply report, and returns to Stormgard to make arrangements for the "disbursement" of those slaves who are now surplus

Subject: "a profitable evening..."
chay Tue 14-Jan-03 04:27 PM
Sitting in her office going over the papers from the nights "business meeting", Chay hurs to herself. Aye it had been quite profitable, although she had been surprised at her temple sister's purchase of all remaining stock in the name of her guild. Still.. gold was gold.

Propping her boots up on her desk she sat thinking about the various bits and pieces of information that had come in that day. Perhaps the hoarding on the guild's tower should be stepped up.

The clearing of the site was progressing nicely. The ground was still mushy, but that would firm up once so many weren't tromping around on it. One of the warriors had told her that he'd overheard two of the knights helping in the clearing talking. Apparently they were nay pleased at the compromise the warriors were willing to make. Well that was their choice.

Rubbing her face, she pushes aside the papers and heads to her lair for the night. Tomorrow would be busy as she begins enquiries on another "order" for someone.

kazak Tue 14-Jan-03 06:04 PM
<Kazak hurriedly steps into Chay's office (he never did get to grips with knocking), his arms full of rolls of plans and ore samples>
Right! Finally finished da plans for the sluice gate.
<he unrolls a large parchment plan on Chay's desk, knocking her feet off of her favorite resting place (an elf-maid skull which takes pride of place as a pen holder). Weighing down the corners of the plan with lumps of metal ore he smooths off the parchment>
Ya see? We sink these Granite posts here..here... here.. and here! The gate mechanism (made of Mithril cos it don't rust) slots down between, we make good with a steel and tar seal then reinforce using natural stone we dug up in constructing the tunnel.
<he leans back with weary pride>
This way we can adjust the flow of water into and out of the watering hole, seal off and defend the tunnel entrance and address the 'natural' problems?
So? should I start forging the gate mechanism?

   chay Wed 15-Jan-03 02:49 AM

With a grunt and a glare at the impertinent Warrior, Chay glares at him for a moment then just starts to laugh.

"By the gods Kazak, one of these days ye are going to do that when Chay is in nay such a good mood and ye will find yerself minus a few finger.. IF yer lucky that is." she mutters at him.

"Those plans look good indeed. It solves many issues. Be sure ye check with Songward before sinking any of the pilings to be sure she and her team are done doing whatever it is they are doing with those net things. We also want to wait to see what the warriors want to see done with the site before we decide how big a pond to make. So dinna do anything permanent till the final decisions are made, aye?"

Looking over the plans she grins. Creative.. and workable. This should please even the tree and bunny lovers, and it will make a good defensive solution.

"Kazak, if the other position works out, ye may wish to permanently assign guards to the sluice gate just to be on the safe side."

Feeling his nod, she leans over and rights the skull on her desk with another glare at him. "Now out. Chay has work to finish and then needs to hunt up some breakfast...and lunch." She growls at him but hides a grin as she looks away.

         kazak Wed 15-Jan-03 06:14 PM

<Kaz gathers up his plans, 'accidentally' gathering up Chays packed lunch at the same time, and bustles out of Chay's office back to his bunk>
Well, lessee now..
<opens a sandwich>
bah! Not dark-elf fillets again? I pinched this flavour off her just last week, still better then the troll liver pate ones I got.
<shrugs and munches the sandwiches, hiding the wrappers in Hanson's locker>

Hail Warriors. Today Lord Deori asked Tranos' acting Baron, Lord Balthoron to listen to the dispute between the Warriors and Knights regarding the no longer existing Tower.

Here is an accounting of that and the decision rendered.

Glory to the WARRIORS!

Chay says 'Chay has no problems'
You grin at Deori.
Deori says 'Excellent chay'
Chay says 'The Warriors removed that eyesore in Tranos finally'
Chay says 'That insulting Tower to our Lord'
Deori says 'Yes, the heavens rumbled to its falling chay'
You give a low "Hur hur hur hur hur."
You shout out "Zir! Zir! Zir!"
Thalador exclaims 'For The Glory of ZIR!'
Methok shouts out "Zir! Zir! Zir!"

At the bar of the Adventurers Guild

Chay says 'Course believe the knights have some problem with it... '
Chay grins evilly
Zadriae says 'Too bad you had to kill squires to do it'
Chay says 'They had a choice to leave or nay'
Chay says 'Casualties of war'
Zadriae says 'Ye did not tell em before you killed them'
Thalador says 'Zaddy '
Zadriae says 'I have heard the account, ye asked after those 18 died'
Chay says 'If they dinna want to be in the line of fire they should have become parasitic useless druids'
Thalador says 'Death comes with the job'
Zadriae says 'Job of defending yer own home'
Chay says 'It wasnt their home'
Chay says 'It was a tower'
Zadriae says 'Aye, it was Chay'
Chay says 'One of insult ye had years to remove yerselves'
Thalador says 'If yer going to lead an adventurer's lifestyle, ye best expect to die'
Chay says 'YE caused their deaths with yer arrogance'
Deori gives a thoughtful "Hmm..."
Chay says 'Next time dinna balk the Warriors Guild'
Zadriae says 'No, I believe you did by not approaching us again'
"Knights!" mutters Methok.
Thalador says 'Children....play nice'
Shadowy_death says 'Please, Zadriae.'
Shadowy_death chuckles away.
Shadowy_death says 'This is not the time nor place.'
Chay asks 'Bah. fool knights. How many times ye need approaching?'
Deori waves his arms, tosses some salt in the air, and claps his hands!
Maris trots from out of nowhere, upon the back of a Chestnut pony that looks about excitedly
Shadowy_death says 'What's done is done, argueing only makes you bitter.'
Chay says 'Now ye will think twice before messing with Zir's warriors'
Deori says 'Hello there maris'
Zadriae bows towards Maris.
Maris exclaims 'Hello!'
Maris hops about.
Deori asks 'What do YOU think of the fall of the knights tower?'
Chay fingers a nice jeweled knights dagger at her belt
Maris asks 'Me?'
Zadriae smiles at Maris
Maris says 'Well. I'm sad. It broke my heart, especially since I'm too small to do much about it.'
Deori says 'Yes, you Maris'
Deori says 'Hmm. I belive theres a quote about that...from some elf woman'
Maris says 'I would rather solve things with words, not so much with smashing.'
You spit on the floor and rub it into the ground with your foot.
Zadriae nods at Maris.
Chay says 'Yer elders had their chance'
Chay says 'Many many times'
Maris asks 'But don't you think such an action was a little hasty?'
Chay says 'Hasty? '
Chay asks 'How many years are we to ask ye to remove it Maris?'
Maris asks 'What did it do but create more bad feelings?'
Deori asks 'Well, are you going to rebuild your tower, Knights?'
Chay says 'No '
Chay looks at Deori in dead seriousness
Anera comes out of hiding
Chay says 'They will NAY rebuild it.'
Zadriae says 'Ye do nae speak for the Knights, Lady Chay'
Chay says 'Nay it wasnt it was on our back door'
Maris says 'And it was not hurting anybody...'
Chay says 'Chay speaks for the Guild who took it'
Chay says 'And we will nay allow it'
Maris asks 'Would you have us not enter Tranos at all?'
Thalador says 'No...Chay speaks for the Warriors, who probably wont let you rebuild it'
Deori says 'I belive you have a fort, just outside Devardec thats somewhat neglected'
Anera says 'I don't believe they need yer permission to build in the city'
Anera says 'Yer hardly the baroness'
Zadriae says 'We have no fort, Lord Deori'
Shadowy_death asks 'The fort that the Ghostly Captain dwells in?'
Shadowy_death says 'He has reigned over the fort for many many years.'
Chay says 'Fort Flaxton'
Maris says 'I feel like...'
Deori nods at himself.
Anera nods towards you.
Deori says 'Dancing? '
Chay says 'The one they tried to claim Eisenhertz was a Knight in'
You spit on the floor and rub it into the ground with your foot.
Deori laughs happily.
Thalador chuckles away.
Chay says 'One great momunment to their own ego'
Deori says 'Thats those tridale carvers again'
You nod your head at Deori.
Chay says 'Gnomes not be very bright'
Deori says 'They have it in for Eisenherts'
Maris says 'It's all so miserable. Like when a child knocks down the block tower of another child.'
You laugh happily.
Anera raises an eyebrow in your direction.
Thalador asks 'The one me and Syrr wanted to put a cannon barrage to?'
You grin at Deori.
You nod your head at Thalador.
Anera says 'I've known some pretty wise gnomes'
Maris says 'Just because they used a particular block that the other wanted.'
Deori asks 'Or is that Eisenhurtz?'
Chay says 'They were asked for over 70 years to remove that tower Maris.'
Maris lets out a deep sigh.
Chay asks 'Are we to ask for another 70?'
Zadriae says 'I am only 50'
Thalador says 'Eisenhertz '
Anera says 'Maybe you can learn to accept the answer "no"'
Zadriae says 'Yet I have heard you give no complaint ever'
Chay says 'Aye ye are young'
Maris asks 'How did it harm you?'
Maris says 'And I am only 18. '
Chay says 'We do nay accept the answer no when it is an insult to Zir and to the guild'
Deori laughs happily.
Chay says 'Then do nay make claims ye know nothing about whelp'
Zadriae says 'You never approached Sir Heimdall to make peaceful amends'
Chay glares at Maris
Anera says 'They hardly insulted Zir nor yer guild, they built in the city, not in yer guild walls'
Zadriae says 'He would not ignored you if you had.'
Maris says 'So take it up with the Knights that were around then...not with little pages.'
Chay says 'Heimdall is an ineffectual fool'
Methok shouts out "Zir! Zir! Zir!"
Chay says 'And ye have bigger jewels then he does'
Chay says 'The Warriors acted. Deal with it'
Deori says 'I do hope there will be no war between the knights and the warriors'
Zadriae says 'He is anything but ineffectual'
Thalador raises an eyebrow at Anera.
You roll about on the floor laughing!
Thalador asks 'They didnt Ducky?'
Shadowy_death chuckles away.
Chay says 'Tell it to those who dinna know better Zadriae'
Shadowy_death says 'I hope war breaks out.'
Shadowy_death shouts out "Zir! Zir! Zir!"
Anera says 'Was it within their guild's walls? it wasn't it was merely within the city'
Chay says 'All know who wear the pants in yer little pairing'
You laugh happily.
Anera says 'And Tranos is not the city of the Warriors, just as Frostfall is not the city of Enchanters'
Methok says 'I dont want to go to war against some of my friends'
Zadriae says 'It claimed the blades of Zir could not knock it down'
Thalador says 'I care not'
Saxon enters from the south, upon the back of a Mithril War-Beast that howls for blood and glory
Chay says 'There will be war if they bring it to us Deori'
Anera says 'Tho frankly if you want to go to war, go fer it, I could use the business'
Chay says 'We wished the tower gone.. it is gone'
Thalador says 'Not Tower was a slight upon Lord Zir's Honour'
Thalador says 'It deserved to go down'
Chay says 'If theywish tocontinue then we are ready'
Anera says 'You know healing and enchantment needs go up in time of war'
Maris winks knowingly at Anera.
Maris glares at you.
Zadriae says 'The land is still the Knight's'
Chay laughs at the whelplings attempt at a glare
You utter a quick "Bah!"
You see Anera peer at Zadriae.
Chay says 'Its called right of conquest ye little fool'
Thalador says 'Not fer long'
Anera says 'No one owns lands...'
Zadriae says 'We will not act without Sir Heimdall's command though'
Chay says 'Ye own NOTHING'
Zadriae says 'They do if you bought it, Anera'
Chay says 'Ye will wait long till ye tell him to give it Chay thinks'
You laugh happily.
Zadriae says 'Knight's paid fairly for that land to build on'
Thalador says 'All Land belongs to Deori and Terris itself'
Anera says 'No, you just claim to own it, if a herd of beasts stormed through and destroy it, then it's theirs'
Anera gives a quick grin.
Zadriae asks 'Ever heard of a deed and what not?'
Thalador says 'Mortals have no right or ability to say it is thiers'
Anera says 'The lands might let you stay there..but they're their own owner'
Chay asks 'Ever heard of WAR?'
Chay says 'Conquest? '
Chay asks 'Rights of Conquest?'
Anera says 'Have you ever seen fire burn a deed to a scrap'
Chay says 'Ye should study war more and flowery words less'
Anera says 'That's all it takes and yer deed is worthless and is nothin but ash'
Deori says 'I think Maris is brave to stand up to ye Chay...'
Chay asks 'With a glare?'
You laugh happily.
Maris says 'I'd say more but it would not be ladylike.'
Thalador says 'Its more than most would do Sister'
Deori says 'Not many would...'
Zadriae says 'Maris is nae the only squire to have done so, and she shall nae be the last'
Deori winks at you knowingly.
You grin at Deori.
Chay says 'Well ye be right there. but it changes nothing about that Tower'
Thalador says 'If the other squires live that long'
Shadowy_death chuckles away.
Thalador says 'Being a Knight is a dangerous line of work y'know'
Chay says 'Acutally not one of yer brave knights has even approached Chay to speak Zadriae but yerself'
Chay says 'Squire or otherwise'
Thalador says 'Ye never know when Death might come calling'
Zadriae says 'There is a reason for that, Chay'
Chay says 'Aye cowardice'
You laugh happily.
Zadriae says 'Nae, it would be unknightly the things they would have to say to ye'
Chay says 'And ye were offered one of the concessions ye wanted'
Chay says 'And now ye do nay wish it'
Deori says 'I think perhaps a different view would help this conflict'
Deori waves his arms, tosses some salt in the air, and claps his hands!
Balthoron glides from out of nowhere riding on the back of a giant bat, its fangs flashing at you.
Chay says 'Zir's View is all that matters'
Thalador nods towards you.
Deori nods at Balthoron.
Balthoron says 'Greetings '
Balthoron bows towards Deori.
Chay says 'Hail Lord Balthoron'
Deori says 'Welcome be Lord Balthoron'
Balthoron says 'Greetings, Lady Chay'
Balthoron says 'And to you, Lord Deori'
Zadriae bows towards Balthoron.
Maris bows towards Balthoron.
Balthoron asks 'How do we find ourselves this day?'
Chay says 'Very well. Full belly '
Deori says 'In dispute'
You grin at Balthoron.
Balthoron says 'Dispute? '
Maris says 'Very much so.'
Deori points to the Knights and the Warriors
Balthoron asks 'How so?'
Thalador says 'Knights Vs Warriors'
Thalador says 'The Whole Tranos Tower bit'
Chay says 'About the Tower of Insult we removed'
Drakith says 'The Warriors destroyed the tower.'
Balthoron says 'Aye, I saw this'
Anera says 'Chivalry versus Bloodlust, the same dispute you always have when the two guilds are together'
Deori says 'Well, you are a Lord Of Tranos Balthoron'
Thalador says 'It wasnt Bloodlust Anera'
Deori says 'And known for a steady judgement'
Balthoron says 'Step back a few seconds if you all would, and grant me the opportunity to hear the beginnings'
Thalador says 'If it was, nothing but Warriors wouldve left that Gate'
You nod your head at Thalador.
Drakith says 'Merciful Warriors.'
Drakith gives a quick smirk!
Thalador says 'And more of the Knights Guild would be burned'
You give a low "Hur hur hur hur hur."
You grin at Drakith.
Chay says 'We thought so'
You grin at Drakith.
Methok chuckles away.
Anera says 'Well yer a lapdog...that's what I expect, the fact is, there was no reason for the attack'
Drakith gives a quick wink.
Drakith says 'There was reason.'
Deori says 'Perhaps your view as an outsider would be valuable in adjudicating this dispute'
Thalador raises an eyebrow at Anera.
Balthoron says 'Start over, please... or at least suffer me the filling in'
Thalador says 'A lapdog? Interesting view'
Drakith says 'Insultation, disrespect'
Zadriae stands up
Balthoron bows towards Deori.
Balthoron says 'Gladly '
Chay says 'The tower was builg on the back of the Warriors guild building Balthoron'
Deori says 'Zadriae, tell the Knights tale in a few words'
Chay falls quiet obeying Deori
Deori says 'And then Chay will tell the warriors'
Drakith says 'Disallowing the Warriors to build a tower of defense in Devardec and then build one in the Warriors backyard isn't very'
Drakith says 'Chivalrous. '
Deori nods at Zadriae.
Balthoron says 'Enough '
Zadriae says 'As we slept in our guild, the Warriors took down our tower in Tranos, no word has ever been spoken to the guild's'
Balthoron leans over to Zadriae to listen.
Zadriae says 'Current leadership concerning the "insult" of the tower. Eighteen squires were slain defending part of their home'
Maris bites her lip.
Thalador laughs happily.
Balthoron nods to Zadriae to continue
There is talk of the future of Tranos

Zadriae says 'The Knight's held a funeral pyre for the slain squires... currently we are seeking ways to respond'
Thalador Group Tells you 'please make a note in yer tale that the Tower was built almost a century ago, and there have been several complaints'
Thalador Group Tells you 'over the decades'
Balthoron asks 'Might I ask a question?'

Representatives of the Knights and the Warriors are present

Zadriae nods at Balthoron.
Balthoron asks 'Perhaps this, to you, is wholly ignorant, but would you explain to me the reason the tower was there?'

Under the watchful eye of the Warlocks

Deori holds up his hands
Deori says 'We should more from here'
You nod your head at Deori.
Balthoron nods at Deori.
Balthoron says 'Actually, a spot I doubt we will be encumbered'

At the pinnacle of the mountain !
This is the very tip of the mountain, you find it a little
hard to breathe. A basic form of throne has been placed
here. The throne looks to be made from copper and brass.
Hundreds of tiny burn marks are all over the floor.

Deori says 'This is fine'
Deori says 'We shall not block any folk here'
Balthoron says 'I apologise for the inconvenience, Zadriae'
Zadriae nods at Balthoron.
Zadriae says 'To answer your question...'
Drakith says 'Continue, Zadriae.'
Balthoron asks 'Shall I ask my querry again?'
Zadriae nods at Balthoron.
Deori says 'Continue on as before'
Maris leans over to Balthoron to listen.
Balthoron asks 'Why was your Knight's tower in Tranos?'
Chay says 'Chay would hav eoffered STormgard but there are currently some slaves being processed through'
Deori says 'Balthoron, I shall expect a report from you'
Balthoron winks at you knowingly.
Balthoron says 'And a few in Tranos aiding'
You grin at Balthoron.
Deori says 'Upon the city noticeboards'
Chay says 'Of course Lord Balthoron'
You grin at Balthoron.
Balthoron nods at Deori.
Zadriae says 'It is my understanding that Sir Blueheart purchased the land and we built the fortress of light there'
Deori says 'I must take my leave of you'
Deori nods.
Deori waves his arms, tosses some salt in the air, and claps his hands!
Zadriae says 'It has since become more integrated part of our guild, with a portal out to Tranos and into the guild directly'
Balthoron asks 'That the knights built on owned land and the warriors disgraced that?'
Zadriae says 'Aye '

Balthoron says 'Lady Chay, I ask you give us the Wariors affirmation'
Chay says 'The tower was placed many years ago right on the back door of the warriors guild'
Chay says 'Scribed on it were words of insult to the Faithful and the Guild'
Chay says 'For many years now Chay and others have asked the various leaderships of the Knights Guild to remove the tower'
Chay says 'And each time were told Too bad.. its there.. deal with it.'
Balthoron leans towards you to listen.
Chay says 'When Chay was GM of the Warriors Guild we approached them to build a reciprocal portal'
Chay says 'In Devardec for the Warriors use'
Chay says 'The knights screamed and cried to the heavesns and we were told not to build there because it so upset them'
Chay says 'And so we were forbidden to build in Devardec.. BY the knights'
Balthoron asks 'Who told you this?'
Chay asks 'Which part?'
Balthoron says 'You cannot build'
Chay says 'The knights made such a fuss at the heavens that the heavnes told us not to build because they were sick of the knights'
Chay says 'Whining and crying about it'
Chay says 'As recently as Brynmor we tried again'
Balthoron asks Chay to stop for one moment.
Chay says 'While he was GM'
Chay says 'Aye? '
Balthoron says 'Those of you not interested in this discussion sod off'
Thalador grins at Balthoron.
You nod your head at Balthoron.
Chay says 'Well said'
Drakith says 'Eloquently put.'
Balthoron says 'I tire of the interruptions'
Balthoron says 'If you wish to listen, stay, if not, be gone, please'
Balthoron says 'I ask nicely once'
Balthoron leans towards you to listen.
Balthoron says 'My apologies Lady Chay, please go on'
Chay says 'As recent as Brynmor we tried yet again '
Chay says 'And were told , albeit in a nicer manner, basicallly to just learn to live with it'
Chay says 'We have spent years approaching them about this'
Chay says 'We have spent years being told "too bad"'
Chay says 'We have been refused BY them to build in Devardec'
Balthoron asks 'What was the catalyst?'
Chay says 'And we grew tired of the insult'
Chay says 'Blades of Zir also approached some of the older knights on this issue'
Chay says 'To have the inscription removed at the very least'
Chay says 'The Catalyst? We are Warriors.. We decided to make WAR on that which was an insult to us for far too long'
Chay says 'We will nay be patient for another 70 years'
Balthoron says 'Don't misunderstand, everything has it's beginnning'
Chay says 'Chay spoke with Zir on it'
Balthoron asks 'You were none the less Warriors when you allowed it to set there, no?'
Chay says 'We did nay allow it there'
Chay says 'We were nay ever approached or asked if we WANTED it there'
Chay says 'It simply was put there and we were told too bad'
Balthoron says 'But you knew it existed'
Chay says 'Aye and tried to use their methods to get rid of it'
Balthoron says 'My question is more to what finally broke the camels back'
Chay says 'Over the years the Knights have been expanding without regard to anyone elses feelings all over th elands'
Balthoron nods towards you.
Chay says 'They do nay ask how others feel of their building'
You see Balthoron has seen this
Chay says 'And when others say no.. the knights say too bad and build anyway'
Chay says 'Recently... several knights have claimed to Chays face.. that THEY are Tranos' defenders as well'
Balthoron scoffs
Balthoron chuckles away.
Chay says 'After one such comment from a whelpling Chay spoke with Zir'
Chay says 'Zir gave Chay permission to destroy the tower in His Name.. in the Name ofhte Warriors.. and Tranos City'
Chay says 'The catalyst? Disgust with the growing assumption that they rule EVERY where'
Chay says 'They are not Tranos' defenders'
Chay says 'WE are'
Drakith nods towards you.
Chay says 'The insults stop here and now.'
Chay says 'We were also given permission to destroy other of their outposts'
Chay says 'We were told by Zir we could destroy them all'
Balthoron nods.
Chay says 'We said we did nay wish to desttroy them all.. simply the offensive one to us'
Balthoron says 'Right '
Chay smiles slyly "However that is becoming more tempting the more they whine and cry"
Balthoron rubs his chin and glances down
Drakith smirks at you.
Thalador grins at you.
Thalador says 'Aye.... '
Terris Comings and goings: Divona has Logged in
Balthoron says 'You see....'
Balthoron gives a thoughtful "Hmm..."
Thalador says 'And I best get an invite this time round'
You grin at Thalador.
Balthoron turns to the Knight
Balthoron says 'Zadriae? '
Zadriae says 'All I have to say is, where we have built, we have had Baron's permission and paid for it'
Zadriae says 'We agree to follow all charters of the lands we build in'
Zadriae says 'And as such if we do not, we will be removed'
Zadriae says 'We have broken no charter of Tranos to my knowledge'
Chay says 'Ye have nay had OUR barons permission since there WAS no baron to ask'
You laugh happily.
Zadriae says 'Chay, it's APPARENT you are older than me'
Thalador says 'There was no Barons back then Zaddy'
You see Balthoron sit back in his mount and glance ahead
Chay says 'Very much so as is that Tower older then ye'
Chay says 'So leave Barons out of this'
Zadriae says 'Stop being such a bully over things I have no way to know unless YOU share them'
Balthoron says 'Zadriae enough'
Zadriae says 'I speak with what I know, respect that'
Thalador says 'Its common knowledge of History'
Balthoron says 'You will at the least, as a Knight, respect another'
Chay says 'What ye know is incorrect. learn to listen'
Zadriae says 'I have done no disrespect to her'
Balthoron says 'One hopes that as Knights fill into that solace in Dev that they learn to think for themselves'
Balthoron says 'I am doubting that'
Balthoron says 'We are given ample time to debate here.'
Balthoron says 'Creator Deori himself has asked this'
Balthoron says 'Do not disgrace it with attitude'
Balthoron says 'Why I am here, I have an inkling, but not certainty'
Balthoron says 'I am acting as Baron of Tranos.'
Balthoron says 'We have none'
Thalador says 'Yes they do'
Balthoron says 'Until one is in place, i will continue on course'
Balthoron says 'I am completely and utterly ignorant of the tower allocation, and, mind you, I have a home in Tranos'
Balthoron says 'And have lived here for ages'
Balthoron says 'If the Warriors alowed it, you should feel thus graced'
Balthoron says 'For I will not'
Balthoron says 'The tower gone, shall not be rebuilt'
Zadriae says 'For what reason'
Zadriae asks 'Do you now deny it?'
Balthoron says 'Your temple, I will decide on later'
Thalador asks 'The acting Baron said no?'
Balthoron says 'Warriors were in full right to destroy what was pressed upon them, gods or no'
Balthoron says 'One can only take so much you know'
Thalador nods at Balthoron.
Zadriae says 'It is our right to rebuild, we still own the land and have done no wrong to the city'
Balthoron says 'Knights are welcome in Tranos'
Drakith says 'Zadriae; the point was not that you followed every rule necessary to create the Tower.'
Chay says 'Ye own nothing once it is taken in battle Zadriae'
Balthoron says 'Prove to me you hold land in the city'
Thalador says 'I break slave women all the time because I dont know when to quit'
Drakith grins at Thalador.
Balthoron grins at Thalador.
Zadriae asks 'Ye want the deed?'
Thalador says 'One moment all'
Drakith says 'The point was that to disallow the Warriors from building a similar outpost in Devardec, and then create one in their'
Thalador says 'Zaddy '
Balthoron says 'If you hold claim to property within our city walls, I will look at your proof'
Zadriae asks 'Is that what ye seek, Balthoron?'
Drakith says 'Backyard was just disrespectful and unchivalrous, and they had full right to destroy it.'
Karag asks 'Zadriae, Dwarves owned bellegost, iffen we showed the deed to the orcs, d'ye think they'd give the city back?'
Thalador says 'The land was bought by Blueheart, the deed was in his name, he had the Tower built'
Balthoron says 'It begins your cause, Knight, yes'
Chay says 'No he did nay'
Zadriae says 'I speak to none of you but Balthoron'
Chay says 'The Tower was already there'
Chay says 'The Tower was used by the warriors many years ago'
Chay says 'Grayfalk by name'
Balthoron nods at Zadriae.
Chay asks 'How could ye have bought a Deed Zadriae when there were no barons when this all occurred?'
Chay asks 'Who could ye have bought the deed FROM?'
Chay asks 'What agreements or permission could ye have gotten when there was no baron to get them from?'
Chay says 'Forgrim was OVERLORD and HE would nay have done so'
Thalador says 'Blueheart bought the land with an agreement with whoever was doing Tranos Construction at the time'
Chay says 'For more years then ye have breathed Forgrim was the Overlord of Tranos'
Chay says 'And Forgrim would most certainly nay have allowed ye to scribe what ye did on the towers stones'
Chay says 'Yer claims are null and void and have no basis.'
Balthoron rubs his chin
Balthoron says 'Here is how it will stand'
Balthoron asks 'Are we all listening?'
Balthoron glances to the group
Thalador says 'The Tranos Tower, at the time of its construction, was a tribute to Alvogyl'
Thalador says 'Hence the misconception of it being a Tower of Light'
Balthoron nods at Thalador.
Balthoron says 'I have a unique perspective on this, as I am in a position to aid or not here'
Balthoron asks 'Who is the Knight's GM?'
Thalador says 'Heimdall '
Zadriae says 'Sir Heimdall'
Drakith says 'Heimdall. '
Chay says 'What they said'
Chay says 'He has refused to answer Tells'
Balthoron says 'Then the other Knights may go play, for I will speak only to him'
Balthoron says 'The tower is gone, it will not be rebuilt'
Zadriae says 'Thank ye for yer time already, Lord Balthoron

I'm sad to say I had to find out this news by imposing on your boards. However thank you for sharing it's good to see that there is indeed an end to the conflict over said lands.

hmm, a lively discussion, I'm sorry I wasn't able ta participate. Still I doubt there is little more I could have added.

Subject: "Word reaches Stormgard..."
chay Sun 19-Jan-03 11:12 PM

Bellowing mingled laughters peal off the walls of the fortress causing many servants and soldiers to turn and look at each other in amazement. Seldom do they hear such unrestrained laughter coming from the office of their Mistress. Kragon emerges from the office with a huge grin on his face and still laughing hard, holding his ribs. One of the younger lieutenants, unable to resist, approaches the commander. Seeing the curiosity on all their faces, Kragon tries to stop laughing long enough to tell them what's so funny.

"Ye willna believe this.... Word has reached the General that the Knights, in their mind numbing arrogance, actually feel they should have been present at a meeting between the Warriors and the Thieves or a transcript sent to them of what occurred! Can ye believe that??? Apparently now all guilds must include THEM in private meetings!" Kragon begins to roar again and the laughter spreads throughout Stormgard.

<just finishes a laboured transcription of the meeting, which ends on the line
'and then we all a glass of warm milk and a cookie and took our teddy bears on a picnic'>
Doan worry Chay, I'll post this over to em. Who knows they may even beleive it!
<Kazak bursts into peals of laughter as he seals the transcript of a meeting he didn't even attend into an envelope and prepares to slip itunder the Knights door addressed to 'The nosy-parkers of Devardec'>

------this event ended this period of hostilities and war against the knights guild.---

stil Mon 17-Nov-03 03:56 AM

      "Warrior/Knight info"
   Warriors.

Recently our guild was invaded by beasts too numerous to count. In spite of all of the years of open hostility and hatred, the Knights stood with us and aided us in slaughtering our enemy by providing Warriors with life outside of our guild. At this time we have a tenuous truce with them and there will be no unprovoked, nor open hostility directed towards them as Sylvanus and I are still working things out. This fued between our guilds has reached its end.

I have heard wind of what was called an "unprovoked action" on a Knight recently. Understand this, that shall not happen again.

Glory to the Elite!
