The Morning Sun
The morning sun arose like it has since
the dawn of man.
It was an ordinary workday in bustling
cities across America.
The sun made the morning,
Beautiful.
It seemed to
be just another lazy late summer day.
Cell phones were
being used all across the nation.
At first the calls coming in sounded normal enough.
“Honey I
love you…”
Followed by,
“We’ve
been hijacked.”
At that
moment, sun became nonexistent.
Slowly the dust and debris settled.
There was a choking feeling in our throats and
a sharp
pain in our hearts.
As the dust and debris settled.
The sun seems
a little brighter than before.
For a
moment in time Heaven and Earth collided.
Heaven is a
little fuller,
And our Earth
a little emptier.
