Scored two goals at #9 Liberty (3.7.09) at the LeHaye Center in Lynchburg, VA. Notched 3 assists in an 8-7 loss at California (PA) on 10.3.08 at the Bladerunners' Ice Complex in Bethel Park, PA.

(2007-2008 HIGHLIGHTS)
Solid in the corners and on face-offs, Ellis played in all 35 games for the Presidents during his sophomore season. Ellis scored 3 goals and assisted on 7 others for a total of 10 points with 40 penalty minutes. Ellis had a three point night (1 goal, 2 assists) in a 7-1 win at Youngstown State (10.17.07).

(2006-2007 HIGHLIGHTS)
A forward, Ellis jumped into the lineup as a freshman. He scored 6 goals and added 5 assists for a total of 11 points with 52 penalty minutes in 39 games for the Presidents during his freshman year at Washington & Jefferson College. Mike scored his first point at the Iceoplex at Southpointe versus Pitt (10.11.06) in a 9-1 victory (had 2 assists in the game). Scored first goal at Maryland at the Gardens Ice House (10.20.06) in a 7-4 loss.

BEFORE WASHINGTON & JEFFERSON COLLEGE
In his senior year for Serra Catholic (PIHL), scored 25 goals and 37 assists (62 points) in 22 games (tied for the league lead). Also was the team's assistant captain and was named team MVP while taking home Serra's Playmaker Award. Named PIHL Player of the Month in February 2006. Named PIHL All-Star ('04-'05, '05-'06). In his junior year of high school hockey, Ellis played defense for Serra in which he scored 6 goals and 28 assists (34 points) in 22 games.

During his senior year, Mike also played for the Pittsburgh Viper Stars Midget Major AAA team. He was 2nd on the team in scoring with 14 goals and 41 assists for 55 points in 58 games. Also accumulated 163 penalty minutes. Received the team Playmaker Award for most assists on his amateur team spanning from 2000-'06.
