Alright, So I was watching Cowboy Bebop The Movie. I had borrowed it from a friend of mine and decided it's about time I watch it. So I did. I'd have to say...I was disappointed in it. I've heard so many good things about it, I guess I was expecting more.
It started off great. I was really into the show. I have to admit, the story line was pretty interesting and the animation was great. I give that two thumbs up. But then somewhere durring the show, i began to lose my interest in it. WHen I like a movie, I usually don't get up off my ass until it's done. I was expecting that for Cowboy bebop. That didn't happen. Instead, I found myself getting up time after time, putting the movie on pause out of sheer boredom.
Don't get me wrong, the movie DID have it's moments! You gotta admit that the fight scenes were kick ass. I love the fighting scenes and action shots. It's just that I found it a real pain in the ass to just sit there and listen to what was going on. Maybe it's just because I wasn't really in the mood to watch anime but I though "what the heck...why not?", maybe it's just because the movie wasn't all that great. Who knows.
I'd have to admit though, it's nothing that I would actually buy. In fact, no. I'm not even going to consider buying it. At least now I have the bragging rights to say "yes, I've seen the movie", you know? Other than that, I got nothing really from it. Seriously. In a way, I guess you could say that it was a waste of my time. Durring the movie, I suddenly felt like doing my homework. That's pretty bad, considering how much I despise doing homework and all.
I dunno... I guess I've pretty much made my point here. It was good.... but it was shit. It came off as one of those "borrow it, don't buy it" type of things. Thank god I was always too damn broke to buy it. What the hell, I'm always broke now days. But either way... I was impressed... yet falling asleep on the couch at the same time.
