Eva’s Tale
At first she heard a sound,
Jumping up from bed
She ran downstairs
Where there stood a clown
She watched as without a care
He turned her cat to porcelain
Without concern for her safety
She took his big red nose
Or so, her story goes
She said, I want my cat returned
but, the clown was unable
as she soon learned
Oh he tried and tried,
or so he said, he may have lied
For all she knows,
So, she screamed,
I want my cat, if you want your nose
Then out of the blue,
with but one leap
the cat ate both Honey and Dew
her parakeets of which
she only had two
One green and one blue
Now I see
There are those who just don’t believe
my story is true
Well whatever you do
Think thoughts that are kind,
For you see,
this story came not from me
but a four year olds mind
for whom it is as real
as all of reality
can be. . .
I am sure that within time
something new will cross her mind
But as for now her dreams
have filled her imagination
With this sketchy bit of information. . .
