I sat down and got the mexicali Blues
My woman gave me the news
She said babe  'You just ain’t paid your dues

I said woman 'I paid my fine 
I done my time
Now I'm just lookin’ fo the truth
But the deeper I look 
the mo 'I get's confused
When I look up I gots to choose 
on one side I got the mexicali blues
But on the other I got my woman looking lewd
