Born in F.A.year 388. Died in ?. ( around 456 ?.)

Unwed and childless.

1 Age.

F.A.388. Born in Eriador together with her twinbrother Haldar.

F.A.420. Crossed Ered Lindon with her father, brother and their people and came into Beleriand.

F.A.420-422. The Haladins did not serve any lords, man or elf, and they lived in small communities in the Southern of Thargelion. Morgoth sent out an Orc-raid wich came from the East across the mountains down by the Dwarf-Road and attacked and killed what it could of the Haladin settlements and people. But Haldad, Haleth's father, gathered all the brave and valiant men of the Haladins in Thargelion and they built a stockade in the Southern woods of Thargelion in the ankle of river Ascar and Gelion where they gathered women and children, trying to defend themselves against the Orcs. Haldad was slain in a sortie against the Orcs, and Haleth's brother, Haldar, was slain trying to rescue their dead father's body.

When her father and brother died in Thargelion during the Orc-attack Haleth held the remaining people together until they seven days later where they were rescued by Caranthir. He offered her his protection and land further North but she was proud, and wished no-one to rule her and the people. She refused to settle in the Northern area of Thargelion . The people chose her to be their chieftain and they removed into the West of Beleriand. Haleth lead her people over the river of Celon and through the land between the Girdle of Melian and the Mountains of Terror ( Nan Gorgortheb ) over the fords of Brithiach and into the Forest of Brethil, which was claimed by Thingol to be a part of his country.

But Finrod obtained the grace on the behalf of Haleth that she and her people could dwell here if the people would guard the land and the Crossing of Teiglin against the enemies of the Eldar. When Haleth died she was buried in a mound, Haudh-en-Arwen ( Tur Haretha), raised by her people in the heights of the forest and the leadership of the people was committed to Haldan, the son of her brother.
