| Hobbit of the Shire. In 3018, Merry became one of the Fellowship of the Ring. Merry survived many adventures untill the breaking of the fellowship, when he and his cousin, Peregrin Took, were captured by Uruk-hai of Isenguard. When the Uruk-hai were attacked by the Rohhirim the two hobbits escaped into Fangorn Forest and helped convince the Ents to attack Isenguard. |
| Merry later became the squire of King Theoden. He became a heroic figure when, with the Sheild Maiden Eowyn, he killed the Witch-King of Morgul, at the feilds of Pelennor. This encounter would have killed Merry, but for the healing hands of Aragorn. Upon returning to the Shire later that year, Merry faught in the battle of Bywater. He later Married Estalla, and succeeded his father as Master of Buckland. He was one of the tallest hobbits in history(the other being Peregrin Took), due to the drinking of the Ent-Mead with Treabeard in Fangorn. In the 64th year of the fouth age, Merry and Pippin left the Shire, to travel to Rohan and Gondor, where they were buried with high honor in the House of Kings. |
