This sport I believe is called Robotic Combat and has competitions such as Battlebots, Robot Wars, and Bot Bash.
Home built, R/C controlled robots with weapons such as saw blades, spikes, and lifting arms battle each other in a fully enclosed arena until one dies or until time runs out. The arena itself (Battlebots) is hazardous with ramps, saws, hammers, and a spike strip.
