~Team Rules/Commitment~
Being a part of the Waterford Dazzler Dance Teams Program is a BIG commitment.  The season runs from June through the end of May.  The teams will get a break for the month of March and return to class in April to prepare for the Foursis Dance Academy recital in May.  Each team member is expected to commit to and complete the entire season.
Dazzler Dance Team Rules
~Monthly payments are due the first practice of every month.  A $5.00 late fee per week will be added to ANY payment that is not paid by the assigned payment date.  If for any reason you are absent the week payment is due, you must either mail in or drop off payment at the studio within the week that it is due.

~Newsletters are our way of communication to parents throughout the season. It is the parents  responsibility to check your dancers folder daily for any new newsletters.  Foursis Dance Acadmey is not responsible for any missed paperwork.

~All competitions are MANDATORY! No exceptions will be made!  Summer Dance Camp is mandatory for the Dazzlers Only.

~Practices two (2) weeks before any competition are mandatory.  No Excuses!  If a mandatory practice is missed, you will be taken out of a routine for a competition at the coach's discretion.

~Being a part of the Dazzler Pom Program requires working as a team.  The attendance of every team member is very important.  For the months of June through September, you are allowed 2 weeks of vacation (4 practice days), for October through February you will also be allowed 2 weeks vacation (4 practice days) .  If you miss more the the allowed vacation days you will be taken out of a routine for a competition at the coach's discretion.

~A vacation form must be handed in within one week of making the team for it to be excused.  If you are unable to make a practice, you must call the studio before practice begins. Leave a message if no one answers.  A written note may be given to your coach if you know you have a prior commitment that will conflict with a practice.

~There may be some unscheduled performances that we are asked to perform at throughout the year.  If there are any conflicts with the date given, a written note must be handed in to your coach by the next practice day.  This helps us better prepare our routines for all of the teams.

~If a dancer experiences any physical limitations that would prevent them from participating in class, a doctors' excuse must be handed in to your coach and the dancer must attend all scheduled practices and watch and learn what is being taught in class.

~Dazzlers only-When you are absent, for any reason, you must call another squad member and learn what you missed BEFORE the next practice.  We will not have time to go back and teach someone that was not there.

~Be on time! Chronic tardiness will not be tolerated.  If you are late more than 10 minutes 3 times a half day of vacation will be used. If no vacation days are available it will be the coach's discretion if you will be taken out of a routine at a competition.

~For you safety, dance shoes must be worn at all times during practice.  Hair must be tied back in a ponytail or braid.  No jean shorts, jeans, tennis shoes or sandals should be worn to practice.

~Due to hygiene concerns and for the continued quality of the uniforms, you must follow uniform washing instructions.  You are responsible for the care and cleanliness of the uniforms and for any damage or misuse.  No part of the uniforms should be worn for anything other than competitions or performances.
This is not a Halloween costume!

~At competitions or performances, the squad members must stay with their coach.  They must stay all together as a group.  Please wait for your coach to give the squad permission to leave.

~At competitions and performances
no parents are allowed backstage, in locker rooms, classrooms or any changing area designated by the coaches during the competition. When the competition is over, you are then allowed to help your child pack up their uniforms and belongings.

~All dancers are required to take the bus to every competition.  Parents are also invited to ride the bus, if room permits.  Dancers do not have to ride the bus home.
