I look into my palm
At the tiny white onion blossoms.
They look lonely in my palm,
Scattered against pale skin.
I think about his eyes,
Pale and green,
Like a rolling meadow,
Deep and moist like a lake.
I look into his eyes,
And the tiny white onion blossoms
Are still there.
They are scattered in his eyes
Over the shallow pools,
No longer a lake,
And I can feel them wilting in my hand.
