Author's Note And Disclaimer For Surviving the Sideshow
Setting: A small traveling circus in the 1930's.
Character list:
1) JC- A trapeze artist. The manager of the circus's nephew, who is 20 years old.
2) Jessie- Another trapeze artist. She is 16 years old, and JC's sister.
3) Justin- The 'satyr' in the freak show. He has a five-inch tail, and no legs below his knees. The ends of his leg bones extend past his muscle and skin, creating hoof like 'feet'. He was abandoned at the circus as an infant and has lived there ever since. He is 16 years old.
4) Joey- The 'wolfman' in the freak show. His entire body is covered with thick hair. Have you guys ever seen those guys in Mexico that have that disease like that? Do you know what I'm talking about? He came to the circus when he was 9 years old, after running away from his home. He is now 20 years old.
5) Lance- The armless man in the freak show. He has no arms. He doesn't even have stumps. Nothing past his shoulders. He lost them in a freak accident at the age of 8. His parents died in the accident, and he had no other family to take him in. He is 18 years old.
6) Chris- The main clown dude. He ran away to be in the circus when he was 14 years old. He is now 24 years old.
7) Larry- He's JC and Jessie's uncle and the manager of the circus. He sucks. You all hate him. You all want him to die a horrible death. You want him to burn in the fiery pits of Hell. Am I making myself clear?
8) There are also many more members of the circus who will be mentioned throughout the story.
Disclaimer: I don't own em or know em and this is completely fictional. I got this idea from the 1932 film, Freaks. It is a wonderful film that everyone should watch. Now, this is my best story that I have ever written in my opinion, so you guys better like it. I consider it my masterpiece, and right now I am working on changing it from a short story to a novel. Ohhhh . . . Ahhh . . .
