From Our President
First let me introduce myself, I’m SMSgt Jim Cody from the 6th Operations Support Squadron and the new president of the Jerry Waterman Chapter. I’m extremely pleased to be assuming this role and look forward to the coming year. The new executive council is energized and ready to increase our chapter’s membership with some special attention on the enlisted side of the house. AFA has dedicated this year to the enlisted force and we will do our best to support this effort. The Aerospace Education Foundation is another area that the council will focus efforts. The council would like to expand our network and activities to educate our youth and community. Fundraising and speaking engagements will be at the top of our list.
I would also like to take this opportunity to somewhat
publicly thank our past officers for their hard work and dedication in keeping
the chapter moving forward.
Additionally, I would be remiss if I didn’t recognize some steadfast
chapter/AFA members that have carried the flag in the somewhat bumpy transition
to this year’s coucil; Col (RET) Ray Straton, Col (RET) Ron Hoelzer, Joe
Lampariello, Dick Arens, and Bob Cutler.
These folks are true patriots and deserve our thanks.
