1. Diddle: The away team has the option to go first in the
diddle. The person closest to the middle of the bulls' eye determines the first
player of each match.
2. 18 grams is the maximum weight limit on darts. Anyone
found to be using heavier darts will forfeit all matches played that night.
3. Play the board as it reads. Players can not touch the
board or the darts at any time, even if you throw early or the darts do not
register correctly.
4. Players must all shoot from behind the dart line
established by the bar. Intentionally shooting over the line will result in a
forfeiture of the game.
5. Players are responsible for the five dollars ($5.00) per
player fee for each week even if they use a substitute. If a team forfeits the
entire match, the player fee must be paid. The team captains will be
responsible for money each week even if using a substitute. All twenty dollars
($20.00) must be turned in each week with the play sheet.
6. Players are to give courtesy to the board next to them,
but this does not mean you have to wait for the other player. Just be
courteous.
7. Starting time is 7:30 pm with a fifteen (15) minute late
rule. If the opposing team is not on the premise by 7:45 then they forfeit the
match and all 13 points are awarded to the opposing team. Both teams are
responsible for the player's fees for that night even if the match is
forfeited.
8. The match may begin with three players but the team will
have to forfeit the fourth players match in singles and doubles. If the player
does come late then he or she may jump in at any time during the match but may
not go back and make up any lost or missed matches. However, teams beginning
with four players must throw all matches and finish with four players. Teams
can play out 701 matches with three players without skipping the fourth players
turn.
9. Matches can be postponed if the team captain calls the
opposing team captain and league official 24 to 48 hours in advance to set up a
make-up match before the next regular league night. The make-up match must be
played before the next regular league night or a forfeit will be awarded. Make
up matches must fit into the opposing team's schedule.
10. Teams must turn their roster in to the league secretary
by the second week and must include names, addresses and telephone numbers for
all players and team captain.
11. All players and substitutes must be at least 21 years of
age.
12. The sponsor fee of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per team must
be paid be the second week of league play.
13. Player Change Button: If the player change button was
not pressed and play resumes before the situation is noticed, the player making
the mistake is responsible for the quarters to reset the machine to where the
board read prior to the mistake being made. If both teams cannot agree on how
the score read, the team which was ahead at the time of the mistake wins. Or a
protest must be filed and a special meeting will be called to determine the
winner.
14. Playoffs: Any
player starting the play-offs with one team cannot play with another team. The
playoff schedule will be determined and voted on by team captains prior to
league play.
15. Format: Each singles, doubles and 701 match win will be
awarded one point. The 701 match will be open in / double out. Play all boards
as they read, double or single bulls' eye. You must keep your player order as
listed in the singles at the top of the play sheet. No one is able to leave and
continue a game. ALL THREE (3) 701 matches will be immediately forfeited. Teams
must diddle at the beginning of each game to determine which team will go
first.
16. Any substitute playing with one team more than 10
matches is automatically on that team's roster. Substitutes must play at least
(5) times in the regular season to qualify to participate in the playoffs. But
not necessarily for the same team.
17. Team captains (or representative) from the winning team
will be responsible to turn in the play sheet and all monies ($40.00) at
Kegler's Lounge before closing on Friday following the match. Failure to do so
will result in forfeiture of the winner's match. However, the losing team will
not gain.
18. Protests: To file a protest, the captain of the team
suffering the offense must call a member of the grievance committee immediately
upon the occurrence of the offense and in the presence of the opposing team's
captain.
19. The elected grievance committee shall have total control
in enforcing all of the above rules in the event of an offense. Rules are an
evolutionary process, as an abuse occurs a rule will be written.
