| "No Tay. Not with anyone but you, and I don't want to know about your past. What matters is now...and no, I probably wouldn't have given any other man a second look. Ask Jake.." she giggled. "But something I saw in you..I dunno..you and I fit, Tay. You know what I'm thinking and what I need before I even say it. I can't imagine what life would be like without you. I can't imagine wanting to spend the rest of it with anyone else, Taylor. I love you with all my heart." She looked into my eyes and I could see that every single, sweet, word she said was true. I pulled her close swallowing the lump in my throat and trying to catch my breath, I was overcome and unable to speak. I fought back tears, tears of joy and unspeakable happiness. My chest was heaving with my efforts as she held me to her with equal force. "Jess.." I whispered, unable to resist touching her beautiful face, "I love you so much. I would be completely lost without you. You are my heart, my reason for living. I won't ever let you be lonely, baby. Never." I said my voice sounding rough even, to me. She wiped a tear from my cheek and kissed me. "You are my other half, Jess. Being away from you leaves me cold and empty. I can't wait until the day I see you heading down the aisle, coming to ME. My WIFE, that's all I can think about.." I continued unable to keep back the flood of emotion she stirred in me. "Oh, Taylor.." she hugged me tightly and sobbed. "There's nothing I want more, baby." I pulled away from her and dried her eyes. "Soon..Jess...soon" I stroked her hair and she kissed me with everything she had. All I could think of was making love to her again, making her FEEL the depth of my love for her. Which was exactly what I did, then I held her until she slept again. I drited back to sleep a little later warm with the knowledge that she would be mine, forever. |
| TAYLOR: I woke again with Jessie in my arms, I wanted to stay like this, but if I was going to provide for my future family I needed to get my ass home, changed, and to work. There were a million things to do with the tour coming up and Ike's wedding. I wasn't worried about Jess, though. She and Jake would probably have an apartment lined up before lunchtime. Jake was an excellent manager and took special care of Jessie. I knew he did this because he loved her and had spent the better part of his life looking for the sister he never knew. If he hadn't made sure to let her know that he was older than her, I'd SWEAR they were twins. He was the only other person I could trust to make sure Jess was taken care of. MY family loved her, but there was only so much they could do. I groaned and shifted my weight to lean over Jess and kiss her cheek. "Wake up sleepyhead. I need to talk to you." I said softly and kissed her lips. "Mmm..what is it, Tay?" she asked sleepily. "Baby, I hate to say it but I have to get up and get out of here.." I said. "Oh..okay baby. You got lots of work today?" she asked rubbing her eyes. I grinned. She looked so childlike when she was trying to wake up, it only made me love her more, if that was possible. |
| "Not lots. Just a meeting that I really need to take part in and if I don't get home and change now, I will be late, and my dad will have my head on a platter.." I joked. She giggled and pushed my hair out of my face. "You better scoot then. Can't have your dad all bent at me my first day here.." she teased. "That is impossible. He loves you too much for `disciplining' Zac..he still talking about that, kicking himself for not having the video camera near." I laughed. I kissed her and reluctantly got out of bed. She sat up and pulled the blankets up around her, hugging her knees to her chest and watching me, as I gathered my clothes up and quickly threw them on. "I have a good idea," I said as the thought occured to me, "Why don't you and Jake meet us for lunch? I couldn't wait a whole day to see you anyway." "Okay, Tay. Just give Jake a call and let him know where.." she answered. "Or have Ike tell Lacey. I promised to call her first thing, she didn't seem herself yesterday.." Uh-oh. I thought, here we go. "Jess, she probably is just stressed over wedding plans..Ike has been busy, same as the rest of us trying to put this tour together. He's not been able to help her much. Once you are there to calm her everything will be fine." I told her. "Hmm..seemed like more than that, but then it IS Lacey we're talking about. She tends to be a little high strung." she giggled and I felt a little better about the whole thing. Lacey could be ALOT high strung if you let her get wound up. I knew Jess could balance her though. I grabbed my wallet and keys off the dresser and went to Jess. I sat on the bed next to her and hugged her close."I'm so glad you're finally here.." I said and kissed her. "But if I don't go now.." I grinned at her and left the sentence hanging. She giggled her understanding and kissed me, then gave me a shove off the bed. "Go you screwball...the sooner you leave the sooner you're done and can come back to me." she teased, laughing. I laughed and kissed the top of her head. "I'll see you at lunchtime, baby. I'll miss you.." I told her. "I'll miss you too. See you soon." She blew me a kiss and my heart melted. "I love you, Jess." I said and closed the door. |
| JESSIE: I woke up to Taylor's sweet caresses all over my body and his soft kiss on my lips. I reached for him and we made love again, declaring our love for each other in the throes of passion. Everytime he touched me I felt it, when he looked into my eyes I felt it. I had to tell him everything when he breathed, dumbfounded, that he had no idea he could love someone so much. I felt the same way, constantly. I poured my heart out to him and held him, shocked at the intensity of his reaction to what I said. I wiped a tear from his cheek and he told me more, that I was his reason to live, and I was overcome. I sobbed into his neck as he held me tightly, and as the emotion changed subtly, I knew he would make love to me again. I wanted him to, I could never get enough of him. He was my other half too. The part of me that left me cold and empty when he was gone. I needed to show him, give myself to him completely. We made love again and fell asleep in each other's arms. I woke again to his soft kiss and his low voice calling to me. He told me he needed to leave, a meeting he had to attend and I sent him off before he could feel guilty about leaving my side. Jake and I needed to find a place to live and if I knew Jake, we'd have it done by lunch. So I was happy when Tay asked us to join them. Then I said something to Tay, to mentally remind myself to make time for Lacey this morning. I was worried about her. |
| Taylor dressed quickly and kissed me goodbye, making sure his last words to me were `I love you' before he shut the door. I jumped out of bed and took a quick shower, then dressed myself casually, but not too casual, not knowing where we would be having lunch. As I put my ring on and ran a hand through my hair, Jake was at the door, coffee in hand. "Hey Jakey, come on in.." I said. He strode in and set my coffee down and hugged me. "You slept?" he asked. "Yeah, I did. Pretty well actually." "Good." He grinned and shook his head. "I saw Tay as he was running out the door to go get changed. He said he'd call at lunch and let us know. If we get going soon maybe you can give him a permanenet address.." he joked. "Don't laugh Jake. Knowing you that is exactly what will happen. But I do need to give Lace a call before we do anything, okay?" "Yeah..go 'head..I'm gonna go get a newspaper.." he grabbed his coffe and ruffled my hair. "See ya in a few sis.." he said and was gone. I sighed and picked up the phone. |
