JESSIE: Once we were finally out of the shower and dressed, we met the rset fo our group for breakfast. It was loud and fun, just like always. Through most of the conversations this morning I noticed that Zac looked like he was biting his tongue to keep from saying something, I assumed it had to do with the fact that they were next door to us. He looked like he was about to explode and his eyes were twinkiling mischeviously. I gave him my best, don't-even-go-there-or-you-will-be-sorry grin and kept on eating. Taylor noticed the exchange and chuckled to himself. I grasped his hand tightly under the table. He looked down at me with all the love and intensity we had been feeling this morning. "Oh my god...I'm gonna hurl..." Zac teased. "Can it, Zac.." I said and shot him a dirty look, then smiled. "Don't have a can, or I'd hurl right in it.." he teased back. "Keep it up buster.." I threatened. "You're just lucky your girlfriend happens to be one of my very best friends and I'm easy on you out of respect for her feelings.." "Don't respect my feelings Jess," Watts grinned, "He's acting like a brat and desrves whatever he gets. Besides, I'll just get you on stage...I've been known to do it.." she joked. "If you do I will be happy for you and you know it.." I said and stuck my tongue out at her. "Speaking of... I am so nervous I can barely eat..what about you?" I asked her. "Nothing but protien shakes for me the rest of the day I'm afraid.." she said, smiling. "I saw that Lizzie Borden hanging around, that's enough to make me lose my lunch right there.." she said, disgusted. |
"She's nothing Watts..'specially without Eric the psycho with her..pretend she's not here.." I told her. "It's ME you should be worrying about.." I raised my eyebrow and grinned. "You better believe it's on sister.." she teased back. "Oooh you girls gonna take up mud wrestling then too.." Zac asked eagerly, which brought a disgusted groan from the table. "What?" he asked innocently, "I was just askin'" "Whatever..who's the pervert now?" I asked pointedly. "Aww, Jess.." he groaned. "Okay enough..you boys better get your stuff back on the bus, sorry ladies." Walker looked at us apologetically. "I DO know how you feel.." he said and I realized he must be missing his wife and little ones terribly. "But you have your radio spot, and then we should be done in time to come and watch. Can't wait to see what you girls have.." he grinned. "Kay Dad.." was the answer from all three. We all rose, Jake and Daddy took care of the bill, and we headed upstairs to gather our things. That done we headed back downstairs, Taylor, his father and brothers braving themselves to smile and wave to the mass of screaming fans hovering near the busses. We kissed our respective mates, and watched as they put on smiling faces for their fans, stopping to sign a few things and then getting on the bus. I watched a few minutes longer, knowing that bus would not pull away until Taylor had had one last look at me. He always did. Just as the bus started to move I saw him. He was hanging out the bus window, waving to the fans when suddenly he looked straight into my eyes. Even through the crowd, the windows, and the deafening mass scream, he immediately caught my eye. "I love you baby.." I mouthed as he waved, and blinded me with the huge bright smile that was only for me. I noticed Zac and Ike then, waving and smiling to the crowd, the moving their eyes over to smile goodbye to Lace and Watts. We looked at each other and let out a group sigh as the busses disappeared around the corner. "You girls have your things ready?" Jake asked, wanting to check us out. We would not be returning to the hotel, we were catching a flight after dinner. |
JESSIE: "Yeah, Jakey.." I sighed. "I'm ready..." "We are too, Jake." Lacey and Watts agreed. "I know it's hard for you Jess. But you have just as much press as Tay today.." he gripped my shoulder. "I know, Jakey.." I grinned evilly at him. "That's nothing compared to what I need help with when we get home." "Oh no..Jess.please please tell me you didn't.." he groaned. "Had to Jakey, Diana was upset when she called with the last crisis, which was at a god awful hour here this morning...the bastards should be gone by now. Just need you to cut the idiot his last check and have some tools that I don't have rented and delivered to the house. I can finish it myself.." "Dammit Jessie! Tay is gonna have a fit whe he finds out you're trying to get your fucking builders license.." he complained. "He is not. And besides, Dave will help me with anything I can't lift myself..wontcha Dave?" I asked, smiling innocently. "Of course Jess, but I doubt you'll need much help." he answered. "At least I'm never bored.." he looked at Jake and shrugged. "Yeah..neither am I.." Jake answered sarcastically and laughed. "Okay sis.." |
Jake checked us out and I felt a familiar chill when I saw Keith looking at Watts, as Jake helped her with her things. I tried to get Jake's attention, but he was trying to help both Lacey and Watts. I took over and slung my own bag over my shoulder, hauled Lacey's up over the same shoulder and let Dave take my small suitcase. Then I grabbed. Watts' smaller bag, the one that she'd need today, and handed it to Kevin. Keith instantly took it and Wattley's small suitcase, shooting me an almost dirty look. I was taken aback. I looked at Dave, but he was busy, adjusting the load he carried on his shoulders. I made a mental note to talk to Dave, and hoped it wouldn't slip my mind. Jake and our respective watchdogs loaded our things into the car, then came back to help us in. Jake rode with us girls and the bodyguards, follwed in another car behind us. Fortunately I was in better spirits today, and the freaking paparazzi in my face wasn't a huge problem. Lacey was absolutely amazing. She kept out things organized and everything moving so Jake could handle the other technical aspects. It was fun for both Watts and me to have her there, her opinions helped alot. Both Watts and I had to do our on camera (in the swimsuit) spots, then we each had one short magazine interview and a magazine spot together. Once those were done, we went to warm up and use our stage time. Lacey watched, enthralled as Watts did a quick runthrough of her routine. Tay was right, I needed to get Jake to hire her for more physical aspects. I knew from the look on her face now, that I could talk her into it and she would love it. It was my turn for the stage then, and I quickly ran through my routine. When I was finished I saw Liz, watching the three of us from the other side. Fortunately for her, she stayed clear of all of us. Lace, Watts and I went into the dressing room to get ready. Someone had a radio on and I heard Taylor's name mentioned. "Hey..can someone turn that up?" I hollered. "Yeah, crank it please.." Watts hollered as Lacey giggled. The three of us listened, intently as we got ourselves ready for the stage. Occasionally we had to stop with the make up, or risk messing it up from laughing. Damn those guys could be silly, and they were in rare form today. The interview was over by the time we were stage ready, so we turned our attention to the competition at hand. We started to get worried as it got closer to time for Watts and I to take the stage. We had drawn the last two slots, so we had a bit to wait. "Jess stop pacing, they'll be here as soon as they can.." Jake said, hugging me to his side. |
