TAYLOR: "We'll see next year.." Jess said, and then Tanya turned to Watts, leaving me free to finally really check on Jess. "Baby..are you really okay?" I asked her. "Yes, Tay. I'm just tired. I'll probably sleep for two whole days when I get home, that's all." she smiled, laying her hand on my cheek. As soon as Watts finished her spot, they talked to Liz, but we didn't stick around for that. Everytime Jessie saw her, a look of pure anger came over her face, and I would just as soon not deal with THAT confrontation right then. We still had a show to do tonight and I wanted to make the rest of the time I got to spend with Jessie happy. Zac, Ike, my Dad and I, needed to get back out to the busses and get over to the venue, sound check, meet&greet and all the other hings that needed to get done before we could go on, had to be done now. "Jess, baby. We really have to get our asses in gear." I told her, not really wanting to leave her. "Tay. I know, baby. Go do what you have to do, I am gonna try and get some sleep then pack up my stuff. I still have a busy two weeks left, too." she smiled. "Okay, baby. Jake has everything you guys need to meet us there, Dad took care of it, and I WILL be doing more than KISSING you goodbye.." I grinned. "You better.." she giggled and kissed me, wrapping her arms around my neck and pressing herself close to me. "Oooh maybe I can torture you into telling me where you're taking me on our honeymoon.." she grinned suddenly. "Yeah baby..torture all you want.." I raised my eyebrow at her, and grinned back. "I won't talk.." She made a cute little pouty face and folded her arms over her chest. "Hell no, I won't talk.." I said and grabbed her around the waist, pulling her close to me again, "Your kind of torture is WAAAY worth it...hurt me baby.." I growled and she laughed out loud. "You nutbar.." she giggled. "Go do what you have to do or I WON'T torture you.." "Aww Jess.." I pouted, making her giggle again. "I love you, Tay." she smiled. |
"I love you, too, baby." I told her, kissed her sweet lips and the looked up to see where my brothers were. Ike and Lacey were near my Dad and Jake, Zac and Wattley were standing near them, but a little off to the right, deep in conversation. From the looks of it. they were probably having the same type of conversation Jess and I were having. I started to call to Zac, and then noticed something about Keith, who was supposed to be Wattley's bodyguard and I was cold to my bones. Jessie slipped her arm around my waist, as I put my arm around her shoulder, then she took that hand and squeezed it. "I know Tay. I told Jake. He and Dave will handle it." she said softly. "I was just gonna say, I don't think he realizes he's not supposed to be guarding her from Zac.." I said, without looking down. "I'll try to talk to her later, Tay. I don't think she knows.." Jess said, still watching my brother and her friend. "You didn't.." I said, and she sighed. "But I am a stubborn headed mule who wants to see nothing but good in anyone, Tay. Watts isn't like me that way.." she sighed again. "I hope we can get it taken care of before anyone gets hurt.." I pulled her close to me, knowing exactly how she felt. I never wanted to come that close to losing her again, and I wouldn't want to see my brother go through the same thing. "I'll talk to her, Tay. I promise." Jess said and then we made our way to our family. |
ZAC: "Leigh...you were awesome baby.." I told her when she finished her spot. I grinned, thinking, "How cool is that? My woman's gonna be on ESPN.." "Zac what kind of goobery thoughts are racing aroung in your head?" she asked, laughing. "I was thinking about how 'mah woman is a buffass mama...she's gonna ride in on her Harley, tattoo mah name on her ass and hoist the fuckin' bike with me on it.." I puffed out my chest and flexed my pecs for her, 'but ah can still take ya..so don't get any wild ideas.' "ZAC! Oh my god..you're insane.." she laughed, wiping tears from her eyes. "Well..you can get a couple wild ideas.." I wiggled my eyebrows and grinned, "but only if you use 'em on ME.." "Oh..my..god...ZAC.." she laughed, "I promise.." she wiped her eyes again. "Hey what are you guys gonna do between now and the show?" I asked her. "Not much, baby. Jess will probably sleep, Lacey and I will do something while Jake's got his ear attached to that cell phone of his. I swear Abbey needs to move closer or something, even with Jess, Lace, and I covering a ton of stuff at the gym, he's still a workaholic." "Yeah...but that's probably why. If you were that far away all the time, I'd need to keep myself that busy too." I told her, seriously. "Yeah..me too.." she smiled up at me. "Looks like Tay is looking for me, we really do need to go get the soundcheck and meet and greet done. We might already be late.." I told her. "Go ahead Zac. Jess and I need to do a few signings ourselves..I'll see you later.." she said and kissed me. When I looked up I saw Keith, staring at Leigh, almost like Eric used to look at Jess. |
"Leigh?" "Yeah?" "What's up with Keith? He's acting weird lately.. " "He is? I haven't noticed anything.." she told me. "He's actually very sweet." "Sweet? Yeah..okay. I still think he's acting weird.." "You're paranoid 'cause of Jess, that's all.." she said, smiling. "I am too sometimes." "If you say so, Leigh." "I'll see you later, Zac. Hey...so where's that tattoo shop again?" she grinned. I laughed, then kissed her and tugged on her braid. "See you tonight, Leigh." "Long as you do that hairthingy you just did.." she raised her eyebrow. "Oooh she's got ideas already..." I grinned, walking backwards. I backed smack into Tay. "Hey bro..a little distracted?" he grinned. "I'll kick your ass, Tay. Don't mess with me, dude.." I told him. "Good lord, Zac. I can kick your ass..." Jess giggled. "Yeah, but you can kick his too, so it doesn't make a difference.." I said, shrugging my shoulders. they both laughed and then I turned back to Leigh, grabbed her hand and pulled her toward me. I planted a passionate kiss on her and smiled. "See you tonight.." "Bye, Zac." she looked stunned as I walked away. I looked back over my shoulder and saw Tay kiss Jess goodbye, then had to look away. I joined my Dad and Ike, who had said his goodbyes to his wife already, I saw her heading for Jess and Leigh, and stuck my hands in my pockets. "Ready boys?" Dad asked. "Yeah.." we all said at the same time and then braved the crowd to get to the busses. |
