| TAYLOR: "Come on Jess..pick up the phone.." I urged silently, needing to hear her voice. I was having an even worse time sleeping now than I had before. The next two weeks would be the longest I'd ever spent in my life. "Hello?" her breathless voice came through the phone, making me smile. "Hi baby...how come you're all out of breath?" I asked. "I was walking Jakey out, but I didn't wanna miss your call so I shoved him off the porch and ran for the phone silly.." she giggled. "You did not.." I laughed. "Close enough.." she giggled. "How're you doing, baby?" she asked, sweetly. "I miss you.." I told her. "I miss you, too, Tay. I really do." she said, her voice low. "Won't be long though." I said, "How are you feeling? Still tired?" "I'm better today, but I had alot to do around here so I'm still beat. Goin' back to work tomorrow to a mountain of mail.." she laughed. "Oh and I had dinner with Mom and the kids, they are too funny. Tay. Jessica and Avery will probably be at the gym with me all week." "My mother will be kissing your feet.." I laughed. "Did you make your next Dr.s appointment?" "Yeah, it's the same day you get home, but early. Why?" "I was thinking of coming with you.." I told her. I didn't want to miss everything. "I can try to reshcedule it Tay. I'd really like you to be there, too. I NEED you to be there. I'm a great big chicken when it comes to this. I feel so..I dunno...but I have no idea what the hell I'm doing or what questions to ask.." "Shhhh..Jess. I'll be there as much as I can, I promise. Don't worry, baby. If you want to reshcedule it, then go ahead. See if you can get in on Friday instead, I know I'll be home by then, we have a wedding to rehearse that night.." I smiled. "Yeah...god, Tay. "Oh baby, you're still on the bus?" "Yeah...we'll be in the next town by morning." "Oh Tay, I wish I could be in the little cramped up bunk with you.." she said. "Oooh me too.." I teased. "You'd have to lay right on top of me." "Which is different from when?" she laughed, sarcastically. "Good point. Okay so, maybe I'd have to lay right on top of you.." I chuckled. "Sounds good to me, I'm freezin' my ass off all of a sudden.." she said and I could hear her voice shake. "Well turn the air down, Jess.." I told her. "Rather have you warm me up.." she shivered again. "Gotta keep the air up some, humidity in the house is too high for..shit..never mind baby." "For what, Jess?" I asked, wondering for the millionth time what the hell was going on there that she wasn't telling me. "Nothing, Tay. The house is all taken care of and under control. You'll be simply amazed at the transformation when you get home. Now..I'm all ready for bed and getting under the covers, how're you gonna warm me up baby?" she said, with a sexy laugh. |
