I led her to the elevator and back into the room, and watched as she took the newspaper that she grabbed out of the lobby, laid it out on the table and took every last one of the roses and wrapped them up. She took a washcloth and wiped the water off the table, pulled one rose from the bunch, pulled the thorns off, broke the stem and tucked it behind her ear. She slung the carry on bags over her shoulder, cradled the bunch of flowers in her arms and opened the door for me as I picked up our suitcases. "Wherever we're going, these are coming with...I still can't believe you did that. I love them almost as much as I love you." she said and kissed me on the cheek. I couldn't help but smile at her, she was so cute with that flower tucked in her hair and wearing jeans, hikers a tank top and a jacket. "I love you, too, Jess." Once we had our stuff loaded into the car, I helped her into her side and shut the door. I got in on my side, started it and drove higher into the mountains. I kept glancing over my shoulder at Jess, watching her face to see her reaction, as I drove. She caught me watching her and smiled back, making my heart pound painfully in my chest. She had taken the flower from behind her ear and stuck it in the buttonhole on her jacket. Her sunglasses were on her head, holding all but the stray lock with a mind of it's own off her face. She lightly brushed it out of the way with her fingertips, licked her lips and took a long drink from the water bottle she constantly kept near her, which made me think of the shower we took together earlier. I took a deep breath and tried to keep my eyes on the road, instead of my delicious looking wife, for fear I'd wreck the car with us in it. |
"How high up are we going Tay? We've been diving a while..and the air feels thinner..I'm actually getting cold." she said, pulling her jacket more tightly around her. "Almost there Jess. Just a couple more minutes. Then I can dig a sweater out for you. OR...." I grinned over at her. "Hmm..." she giggled. "I think I prefer..OR.." she winked at me and took another drink of water, making me laugh. "That's my girl.." I drove another 10 minutes up a twisting road and then I saw the log cabin I had rented tucked back behind some pine trees. I turned into the driveway and Jess turned excitedly in her seat to look at me, her eyes sparkling. "Like it?" I asked as I parked the car and turned it off. Her eyes widened and she tackled me right there in the car, smothering my face with kisses and hugging me tightly. "I can't believe you asked me such a dumb question, Taylor Hanson! You knew I'd think it was perfect probably the minute you saw it.." she smothered my face with kisses again as I wrapped my arms around her waist. "Just checkin'.." I laughed, loving the fact that she felt as intense a need to touch me as I did to touch her. I tilted my head up to kiss her lips as she wrapped her arms around my neck and straddled my lap. |
TAYLOR: Our kiss became more insistent and I slipped my hands underneath the hem of Jessie's tank top feeling the smooth softness of the skin on her waist, but she felt cold when I touched her. I pulled my mouth from hers and looked into her eyes. "Jess..you should have told me you were that cold. I would have put the heat on for you.." "Why?" she grinned, "You were warming me up just fine.." she kissed my neck and then rested her forehead on mine. "Well that's good to know.." I kissed her lips lightly. "But maybe we should go inside. It might be more comfortable in there." I chuckled. "You're probably right.." she grinned sheepishly, shoved my door open and climbed off my lap, landing on her feet just outside the car. She wrapped her jacket around her and crossed her arms at her waist as I got out of the car, dug in my pocket for the cabin keys and shut the door. "I'll come back for our stuff Jess.." I said when I saw her shiver. "I'm alright, Tay. I just should have put a shirt with sleeves on. Let's grab 'em now so we don't have to come back out if we don't feel like it." she smiled seductively. "If you insist.." I grinned back and opened the trunk. Jessie quickly slung the carry on bags over her shoulder, and when she did the hem of her tank slipped up, baring her smooth, strong abs and the belly ring that drove me crazy from the day I met her. I hoisted the suitcases out and went to set them down, but Jess stretched out her leg, put her heel on the low end of the trunk hood and shoved it down to latch. "Holy shit Jess..you show off.." I laughed. She tilted her head and laughed, "You ain't seen nothin' yet baby..how many days do we get to stay here?" she raised her eyebrow and grinned downright wickedly. I adjusted our suitcases in my hands and practically ran to the cabin door, Jessie giggling hysterically as she followed me. I set our bags down and unlocked the door, throwing it open. Jess started to go in ahead of me, but I stopped her and took the bags she had over her shoulder. I told her to stay put and set them inside, looked around to make sure everything was right then went back to Jessie. "Okay, no peeking.." I grinned, pulled her into my arms and kissed her, passionately. "Okay.." she breathed, her fingers lightly combing through the ends of my hair. I lifted her up like I would one of my younger siblings and she wrapped her legs around my waist. I backed into the cabin as she kissed me, then pushed the door shut with my foot, keeping a firm grip on her rear end as I turned slightly. |
She gently removed her mouth from mine and pressed our forheads together, raking her hands through my hair. "Jess.." I whispered softly, feeling desire well up throughout my body and strain painfully against the zipper of my pants. "I love you, Tay.." she whispered back and then kissed me softly before she looked around. "Oh my god....TAAAY!!!" she kissed me on the cheek as she slid down my body to look around the cabin. "It's so beautiful, baby...thank you." she smiled up at me. All I had done was have the cabin filled with the same kind of roses I had put in the hotel room and there was a champagne bucket, two glasses and a bottle of sparkling white grape juice in the ice set up on the brick hearth of the fireplace. The kitchen was tiny but stocked with enough food that we shouldn't have to go out unless we wanted to, and Jess immediately went to the large sliding glass doors that led to a small deck, with a beautiful wooded view that sloped gently down a few feet from the deck. She stepped outside, took a deep breath, placed both hands on the railing and leaned out, looking around. "Hey..there's a hiking trail, baby. If we get sick of being inside we could explore the woods for a while. I love this.." she smiled back at me and ran a hand through her silky, gold streaked hair. |
