JESSIE:

"Tay, I WILL be okay...Watts is gonna stay with me, and with Lace when I fly out to meet you. I'll be fine.." I told him, desperately trying to erase the worried look off his face. I raked my hand sthrough his hair and kissed him, then held him close to me. I breathed in heavily, taking in his clean, uniquely Taylor, scent. I couldn't wait until I got home, at least when I slept I could smell him in the pillows and feel close to him. "Jess...I can't wait until you can join me.." he whispered, "I want to take you with me right now so badly, baby.."
"Tay.." I breathed, trying hard to hold back the tears that were burning behind my closed eyelids. "I love you.." I finally managed to choke out. "I love you, Jess. So much..." he said softly. "Please be careful..." he lowered his head to my stomach. "You take it easy on your mom, okay kiddo? She's busy and gonna be sore for a few more days. But don't let her do anything stupid.." he kissed my navel and patted my stomach, lovinlgy. I smiled through my tears. "We'll miss you, you know.." I told him. "I'll miss you too." he hugged me tightly and groaned. "God I hate this.." he said softly. "Yeah...me too, baby. But you know we'll both be so busy.." I tried to reassure him. "I know Jess, but that doesn't help when I can't sleep at night." he said and kissed me thoroughly. "I lay awake thinking about you, too. So call me when you can't sleep, chances are I won't be sleeping either." I told him. "Same goes for you, Jess. I don't care what time it is."
he said and hugged me hard. "I will, Tay. God, I love you so much.." "I love you, Jess." he kissed me sweetly and then both Jake and Dave returned. "Tay, you're gonna miss your flight if we don't hurry.." Jake urged and strode over to us. Taylor kissed me again and I hugged him close. "Love you.." I said softly as he stood and stroked my hair back. "Love you.." he replied and hurried out the door. "See ya knucklehead.." Jake ruffled my hair and followed Taylor out the door, closing it behind him. Tears poured down my cheeks as I stared at the closed door for a moment and poor Dave had no idea what to do. Suddenly I felt very sorry for him. "Dammit!" I exclaimed, wiping my eyes and taking a deep breath. "I'm alright, Dave. I just hate to see him go." I said.
"I guess so.." he replied with a grin, and shuffled the cards. "How 'bout a diversion? Hope you have cash on you.." he teased and pulled the chair Taylor had recently occupied to the rolling tray table, and began dealing cards. "Yeah right.." I replied sarcastically, "Prepare to lose, sucker.." I giggled and turned my attention to the card game.

JESSIE:

Jakey returned  a while later, letting me know that Tay had made his flight with no trouble and told Dave he could take off for the night. He made his cot more comfortable, and settled himself next to me, taking the TV remote right off my lap. "You're such a GUY, Jacob.." I rolled my eyes and laughed. "Oh? So you don't WANT to watch the re-run of the Fitness America finals?" he wiggled his eyebrows at me, much the same way Tay did when he was teasing me. "You dork. Yeah..does Watts know it's on?" I asked him. "Yeah. She and Lace will be here after they take her last load of stuff to your place. Diana already has the mess cleaned up, and Watts is gonna stay the night with Lace tonight." he told me. I sighed loudly. "I just want to go HOME, Jake." I pulled my covers up and winced at the pain in my arm. "I know sis. Just be good and stay the night here, you wouldn't want to be far if the baby is more stressed than you think it is, and Tay feels better
knowing you're close to medical attention, if something should happen. Please just behave yourself and don't be so stubborn for a change. I'm getting attached to my little niece or nephew in there." He patted my tummy. "So.." he wiggled his eyebrows again, "have you guys discussed names? 'cause I can think of a few good ones.."
"Yeah...all of them being JACOB, right?" I giggled. "Damn...you got me." he grinned back. "It's a nice TRADITIONAL name, Jess. We won't have to teach the kid to defend himself on the playground."
"WHATEVER..." I giggled again. "I was thinking about it though. I just haven't had time to discuss it with Tay, yet."
"Well hell, Jess. You just spent almost an entire week with him, and NO ONE else.." he said.
"Duh, Jacob. I was on my honeymoon..." I rolled my eyes. "I was BUSY.." I told him. "Not much time for talking.."
"Okay. Spare me the details. How were the mountains anyway?" he asked and then we talked comfortably until Watts and Lacey showed up. They made themselves comfortable, Watts sitting right next to me on my hospital bed and Lacey spawled at the foot, using my good leg for a pillow. "Dammit..this would be alot more comfortable at HOME.." I grumbled, desperately wanting to snuggle with Tay's pillow so I could sleep. I missed him already and he wasn't even at his hotel yet. "Am I hurting you, Jess?" Lacey asked. "Nooo..but you can't possibly be comfortable." I told her. "I am actually." she laughed. "Your leg is almost as bony as Ike's."
"Thanks.." I rolled my eyes.
"Hey check out Lizzie Borden.." Watts pointed to the TV, laughing. "She looks like she's got a stick in her ass." We all joined in her laughter, she was right. I still couldn't figure out how she took third, she was so stiff. We settled down to watch, Watts and I commenting on how we thought the other could improve for the next season, Lacey and Jake adding their comments as well, then we got into the discussion on Wattley's training for the Galaxy. Jake would handle her schedule and money matters, same as always, but I would take over the physical aspects of both her, and Lacey's training. Lacey just wanted to keep up with us and be able to teach her classes, and figured that would eb the only way she got to spend any time with us since Wattley needed to train HARD. The nurse came in a couple of times to check on me, then said she was giving up until the hoarde went home. We finished watching the competition, then Lace and Wattley left, leaving Jake
and I alone for the rest of the night. The nurse came in and checked on me again, saying that the baby was doing fine and left saying she'd give me some time to rest a while. Jake and I watched TV in a comfortable silence, until my eyelids got heavy and I finally drifted to sleep.
