TAYLOR: I was in the bathroom shaving when I heard Jessie let out a string of profanity that could only mean one thing. She was both frustrated and pissed. I stuck my head out the door and tried really hard not to chuckle when I realized what the problem was. She looked up at me with her hand on her hip and I couldn't help it, I lost it. "What in the hell is so damned funny?" she demanded. "I'm...sorry..Jessie." I held my hand up in self-defense. "baby you're right, it's not." She stood there staring at me and then suddenly she burst out laughing herself. "Why did I even bother to pack? What a freakin' WASTE of time." she giggled and shook her head. "There's gotta be SOMETHING you can wear." I said. "Yeah, but not appropriate for a public appearance with YOU, you big dork." she grinned. "If it was a press conference for ME, then I could go looking like a gymrat. Guess Dave's gonna learn what 'shop till you drop' means today." "Aww Jess. I really wanted you to come with me." I sulked. "I refuse to be a fashion embarrasment to this family, Taylor Hanson. You know there will be about 7,000 screaming women dying to get a picture of you and a BAD one of me. I WILL meet you for lunch though. Soon as I buy a whole freaking wardrobe and pack this stuff up and ship it home." She walked over to me and slipped her arms around my waist. "You know I hate to shop, Tay. If I didn't absolutely have to I wouldn't even consider it today. I'd love nothing more than to stay glued to your side. Dave's okay. Almost as good a bodyguard as Jakey, but I know waaaaay too much about gambling for my own comfort." she chuckled. "Okay, Jess. But you have to meet us for lunch and after that I'm not letting you out of my sight for a minute." I told her. "Deal baby." she grinned back. "Go finish shaving.." she ordered. "I'll be dressed and down to Zac's and back before you know it. You need to get dressed anyway, or you may never see the light of day again." she grinned wickedly and gave my backside a squeeze. "Damn Jess. Don't plan on eating at lunchtime if you keep that up." I said. "Food? What's that?" she asked with a completely innocent expression. Then she giggled and rubbed her stomach as it growled. "Someone has other ideas Daddy." she laughed and turned to get dressed. What she had on when she poked her head into the bathroom to let me know she was going down to Zac's room to get my bag looked completely adorable and I told her so. "Maybe YOU think so. But you're predjudiced. Besides, it has to be done Tay. I still need something to wear to the show tonight and so on and blahblah...goin' down to Zac's now. Be right back baby." she grinned and breezed out the door. |
ZAC: I heard the insistent knock at my door and groaned. "Keep your pants on!!" I yelled and threw the covers off, then rubbed my eyes and went to the door. I opened it slowly and groaned again. "Nice to see you too, bro." Jessie giggled. "I just came for Tay's bag, don't have a cow. Thanks for taking it by the way." she grinned and blushed and I had to smile. "Morning Jess." I managed to croak. "Here." she giggled again and handed me a cup of coffee. "You look like death on a stick, Zac. What'd you do? Drink beer and watch B movies all night?" she laughed as I stepped aside and let her in. "Watched TV and played video games kinda late. Couldn't sleep. Here's his stuff." I said and set the bag next to her feet as she sipped her own coffee. She eyed me for a moment and then giggled again. "Hmm..not bad Zac. No wonder Wattley paces when you're gone. " she teased. "Shut up Jess." I shot her a dirty look and pulled on my jeans. "Don't play that with me Zac. You know you love me. I just was curious about how you're handling the whole Hawaii thing. But if Watts knew I was asking she'd probably kill me. It'd be really good for her to do, Zac." she said. "I know. I'm okay with it Jess. I don't much like it, but I want her to be happy. She works just as hard as you do." I told her. "That's good, Zac. And if you don't want to travel alone, I can always handle a tropical vacation." she wiggled her eyebrows at me. "Great. Just what I want. A trip to see Leigh with you two dorks hangin' around." "Psht. Fine. Be that way. I WAS gonna go shopping and maybe get you that damn game you haven't had time to buy but if that's how you're gonna act.." she shook her head. "You're not coming to the interview?" I asked, completely shocked. I was sure Tay wouldn't let her out of his sight the entire time she was with us. "I HAVE to shop." she chuckled and unzipped her sweat jacket. "OHHH...holy crap. Check you out." I grinned and patted her belly. "I can't go looking like this. I'll have to re-pack everything and just start from scratch." she sighed heavily and I could hear her customary comment about hating to shop coming. "Jessie, you are the only chick I know who hates to shop. You freak." I sipped the last of my coffee. "Aww bite me." she giggled. "Tay's probably wondering if I got lost. Thanks again, Zac." she kissed my cheek. "Tell Wattley to get her ass on the climbing wall when you talk to her. I'm still her trainer. I have eyes everywhere.." she laughed evilly. "Just don't kill her before I get to see her. PLEASE." I mock begged. "Don't worry, dork king. See ya in a bit." she smiled and headed out my door. "Excuse me? I believe YOU are MARRIED to the dork king. Tell him I'll be ready in a few minutes." Jess grinned again and closed the door. "Poor Dave." I chuckled and started for the shower. |
