I took a quick shower and threw on my bathrobe. I dried my hair and ran a little wax through it, I really need to invest in some ponytail holders, I thought. My hair was getting longer and tended to be in my way. I put a little eyemakeup and lipgloss on and went into Lacey's bedroom to decide on what to wear. I peeked out at Lacey and noticed that she was wearing jeans and summerweight sweater. Good, casual. And I could wear long pants to cover the healing, slightly yellow and purple bruise on my leg. I didn't want anyone to be reminded as to why I even had the bruise. I managed to get my leg bent enough to pull on my silver satin panties, then slipped on the bra to match. I wore a light gray sweater tank and was TRYING to get on a pair of denim Levi's when I heard a tap on the door.
"Just a sec, Lace...I am having a hell of time with these jeans...be right out.." I said and sat down on the bed. The door opened slowly, and I was surprised to see Taylor's gorgeous smile beaming at me.
"UGH! I meant to be done struggling by the time you got here... hi..." I said and smiled at him. "I'll be just a sec Tay."
"I brought you something for pain, my mom keeps that kind of stuff, with all the accidents that happen in a house with that many kids..." he strode toward me and handed me the diet coke that Lacey had poured for me a few minutes ago and two small pills. I took them and swallowed them quickly, following with a long drink. "Thanks, Tay. I just have to struggle into these pants and I will be ready to go." I babbled. He knelt down in front of me and wrapped his arms around my waist, and kissed me. My arms automatically went around him and pulled him close. He laid his head on my chest and I couldn't help running a hand through his hair. He looked up at me and grinned, then kissed me again. "That's a much better hello, don't you think?" he asked.
I laughed. "Much.."
"Jess, I can help you.." he said, "I don't want you to hurt your leg, baby. I might have teased you earlier, but you're so easy to read Jess. I can tell from looking at you that it's killing you."
"Yeah it hurts, but I'm sure it will be fine by the end of the week if not before. Oh and I talked to Jake. He sends his best." I told him then kissed his cheek.
"Cool. Here, let me help you before I wind up tearing the rest of your clothes off instead..." he teased.
I giggled. "Plenty of time for THAT, later. Mr. Taylor horndog..your parents are waiting..and so are Ike and Lacey.." I laughed again. "They are better at controlling themselves than we are.."
He growled and gave me a sexy, sly grin. "Who said I WANTED to control myself?" he teased.
I rolled my eyes. "C'mon, Tay. Your PARENTS? Remember? Dinner? You know? FOOD?" I asked. He threw his head back and laughed.
"Oh and I'm sure that lacey and Ike plan to be alone here some time soon..." I told him.
"Okay, okay..c'mon..." he raised an eyebrow at me. "but look out later baby..." he growled again and I laughed.
"You're a nut! I would love nothing better than to keep you to myself all week, but...your family is waiting you dork! If you're gonna help me then come on." I giggled.
He helped me get my leg into my jeans and fastened my locket for me.
He pulled me to him one more time and kissed me. I felt like my knees would give way. He took my hand and led me to the living room. I covered my mouth to stifle a giggle when Tay stopped me. There were Ike and Lacey, on the couch, wrapped around each other so that we couldn't tell whose limbs were which. Tay pushed me gently back into the hallway and backed me against the wall.
"They've got the right idea, you know." he whispered and devoured my mouth with his. My hands found their nesting place in his hair as I pressed my body to Taylor's and kissed him back, loving the sweet taste of him.
"mmmm.." I softly moaned onto his mouth as I felt his hands slide around my waist and down to my buttocks. He squeezed and pulled me closer to him, his chest pressing against mine. His tongue traveled over my mouth and down my neck, making me weak and trembling. We were lost to everything but each other, our bodies and mouths merging into one, until I heard someone clear their throat and giggle.
"Sorry you guys. " Lacey said sheepishly, as we reluctantly turned to her, "I need to get in there and get my purse.."
"Don't apologize, Lace.." Taylor said, "We were just killing time until you guys were finished."
"Tay.." I started, then had to laugh. Lacey just shook her head and grinned.
"It's official," she stated, "We are ALL a sad lot. C'mon you guys, we're gonna be late." Then she smiled again, and went to get her bag.

It wasn't a long ride to the Hanson family home, and when we pulled into the driveway I could tell that this must have been a fun place to grow up. There were kids, toys, bikes, etc. EVERYWHERE. Tay helped me out of the truck, and took my hand as we went into the house. He led me through the entryway and into the kitchen where his mother was busy getting thing together to put on the table. She turned to us and smiled.
"Hi you guys. Dinner will be ready soon.." she said.
"What can I do to help?" Lacey and I said in unison, then giggled at each other. Diana chuckled and had Lacey and Tay finish setting the table. Then she turned to me.
"Jessie, if you want to help, you could finish putting this salad together. I don't think you should try to get in and out from here to the dining room.." she chuckled again, "you might get your leg jarred, tripping over a dog or a kid or my husband or something."
I gave a nervous laugh. "I can do the salad then.." and went to the counter where she had everything out. As I began chopping up and tearing vegetables, Diana asked me all kinds of questions about my job and how I started competing in fitness contests, she even asked about my grandmother, which surprised me.
"Tay told me that you lost her recently, Jessie. I'm sorry, you must miss her." She laid a hand on my shoulder and I felt tears stinging my eyelids.
"Thank you.." I managed to choke out, and my hand immediately went to my locket, out of habit.
"Tay tells me you keep a picture of her in that," she said quietly. "Could I see it?"
I wiped the corners of my eyes and nodded. I opened it and leaned toward her to give her a better look.
"You look alot like her, except for your dark hair and eyes.." she patted my hand after she closed the locket. "Are you okay, now Jess?" she asked. "I didn't mean to upset you."
"OH NO, it's okay..really. I just don't talk about her much. I don't have any other family so.." then I smiled. "Except I just found out that I have a big brother, THAT was a BIG shock. But anyway up until recently, I just kept really busy. That way I guess I didn't  have time to miss her. She would have absolutely loved Tay...all three of them actually." I grinned.
Diana smiled back at me. "I think so too, but then again...I'm their mother." she shrugged and I giggled.
