"I know..I'm still floored." I giggled. "But don't worry about what I am thinking. I think that I landed the best brother in the universe and if he is happy then so am I. He couldn't have picked a nicer person.." I said and hugged her.
"Thanks, Jessie..." she smiled. "I will miss you both when you go."
"Oh shit! Abbey..." I was struck with sadness for her.
"It's okay, Jess. I knew you were leaving before this. Who knows? I might just relocate to a warmer climate myself.." she grinned.
"You come and stay anytime Abbey.." I told her.
"Ok Jess, but let's save the mushy stuff for after brunch..." she teased.
"Deal.." I said and hugged her again as we got off the elevator.
"I'll be back in about an hour, hour and a half.."
"Ok Abbey, see you." I waved as she headed for the door. I went to the hotel dining room and found some coffee. The counter person rang it up and I checked the lids and started back upstairs. I lifted my head to see where I was going and saw Watts coming across the lobby. She must be looking for her caffeine fix, too, I thought. I smiled as I saw her coming nad she did so in return.
"Morning, Jess" she giggled. "I thought you'd still be sleeping."
"Naww..I told you I was fine. Tay's still sleeping, though...what are you doing up now? I'd think your feet were rebelling against you after all that dancing last night." I teased.
"I went to sleep right away, though.." she gave me a sly look.
"Ok you win." I grinned. "I better get back upstairs before Tay misses me."
"See ya, Jess. Hey if you see Zac tell him I'm already down here, okay?" she asked.
"Sure thing. The rest of us should be down soon, too.." I said.
Good boy, Zac. I thought to myself, she's gonna loooove you. I got into the elevator and punched the button. As the doors opened to my floor, I saw Zac standing there. He smiled brightly at me and I smiled back.
"Morning, Zac. How'd ya sleep?" I asked.
"Like a baby, unlike my noisy neighbors.." he joked.
"Oh shut up you..it wasn't us..you're not even next door to us..." I told him. He grinned. "Ike and Lacey are..and you and Tay are close enough.."
"Oh bull.." I said and elbowed him, my hands being full with two styro cups of coffee. "you probably slept like a log."
"Hah! Jess..you got me. I did. Let me help you.." he said and took the coffee cups from me, and walked me down the hall. I took the key out of my pocket and unlocked the door putting my finger to my lips to shush him. "Tay's still asleep..." I said quietly and turned bumping smack into Taylor chest. Zac giggled hysterically. "Damn you two!" I exclaimed, exasperated. "I was TRYING to be considerate.." Zac was still laughing. "Pipe down, mister. Unless you wanna wear your brother's coffee...which won't come off as very attractive to the pretty blond waiting for you downstairs.." I said to him.
He tried to stop, so I gave him credit. "Gimme those.." I took the coffee and gave him a shove toward the elevator. "She's WAITING.."
"See ya in a few.." he grinned and sauntered off, stuffing his hand into his pants pockets. I shook my head and went inside after Taylor stepped out of the way to let me through. I set the coffee down and stood on tiptoe to kiss his cheek. "Morning, sweetheart. I really tried to be back before you woke.."
"I woke up because I went to hold you and you were gone." he said looking into my eyes. "I love waking up with you next to me.." he kissed me.
"Oh Tay.." I began, "you spoil me so much when we're together. I just wanted to make you feel as special as you make me feel..." I said softly. "I really tried to be here for you when you woke, but it seems
that everyone is getting up and around. Only ones I haven't seen are Lacey and Ike."
"Are they, now?" he said and raised an eyebrow at me.
"Mmm..yeah." I said absently and started opening the lids to the coffee cups. He came up behind me and put his arms around my waist, then turned me to him. "I don't want coffee yet, Jess." he said. His eyes bore into mine and I could see the desire welling up in them.
"Well, what DO you want, baby?" I asked, my voice low.
"I want YOU, Jessie...just you.." he said and pulled me back to the bed with him, kissing me hungrily.
We were the last ones to get downstairs for brunch.
When Taylor and I finally appeared in the dining room for brunch, there was a round of applause from the table.
"Good lord!" I huffed, grinning and sat in the chair that Taylor held out for me. He sat close to me, grinning sheepishly, putting his arm around my shoulder. I leaned over and kissed his cheek, and put my hand on his knee. Tay looked down at me, "What do you want me to get you, baby?" he asked.
"Whatever you're having is fine with me." I answered.
He gave me a sly grin and pretended to get up from the table, "Umm excuse us..we have to be going now..." he said hastily. There was a loud groan from the table and I yanked him back into his seat, giggling. "You nut!" I said and kissed him on the lips.
"OH COME ON YOU GUYS...I'm trying to eat here.." Zac said mock-exasperated. I looked at Taylor and giggled again as he kissed me more fully and then let me go. The server appeared then with two coffe cups and the pot of coffee. "Thanks.." I said and took a sip. "Thank you," Taylor told her and took a sip of his. She took our order, I just let Tay do it for me, and disappeared behind the swinging doors. I happened to look at Watts just then who was making a disgusted face. I turned to see what she was looking at. There were Eric and Liz, just outside out hotel, loading their things into a cab.
"Wonder what hole they crawled out of.." she muttered looking right at me.
"Easy, girl." I said, "They're leaving."
Watts put down her fork and looked straight at Zac. "You know, I don't think that whole lovely crowd incident last night was an accident."  Zac looked puzzled and I was curious, too. Taylor's head shot up and he looked at her intently. "What do you mean?" he asked her.
"I MEAN.." she began, "I think that stupid woman brought you guys to those crazy teenies attention. I thought I saw her outside that palce right before we had to dash for the door. I didn't realize it until that dumb broad cornered me in the Ladies' room."
I groaned, I hadn't mentioned it to Taylor yet.
