Jade alternated between watching her best bud, gal-pal, partner-in-crime, Jaime, spend another Saturday night kicking the crap out of her drumkit and hyping up a crowd and stealing quick glances at Isaac Hanson. She wanted to kick herself, she and Josh had already had the 'i guess we are serious about each other' conversation, and Ike was his COUSIN, blood family, no less. Be that as it may, Jade felt drawn to him, and couldn't help but notice he was quite good-looking in his own right. Not drop-dead, model perfect like Tay, or rugged, hard rock, long-haired drummer, like Zac. But there was something warm in his eyes and when he smiled her heart skipped a beat. 'You know what Jaime would say..' she silently admonished herself, 'she'd say you're stupid, but good choice.' Jade grinned, Jaime didn't have an opinion concerning Josh one way or another, which was weird, Jaime had an opinion on EVERYTHING usually. Josh wasn't the same type of guy they usually came in contact with either. Josh was kind of preppie and it was hard to think of him being related to the three, unbelievebly talented musicians that were getting totally in to Jaime's energy. She had massive amounts of it and it ususally rubbed off on whoever came in contact with her, 'Thank God.' Jade grinned to herself again. There would have been plenty of missed opportunities if not for Jaime's encouragement. Maybe bullying was more the term. Jade glanced over at the table of men, near the stage, and smiled right into Isaac Hanson's warm eyes. 'God help me..' she silently moaned to herself as Josh caught her eye and gave her a similarly warm smile. jade had to chuckle then, because she also realized that Taylor had not taken his eyes off Jaime since they'd started this set and Zac was getting thoroughly hammered, flirting with any of the girls in the band that would let him, but he was checking out Jaime's goods just as hard as Tay. 'Oh boy..' she thought and turned her attention back to the band as they changed songs.

"Damn, Jaime..." Taylor grunted as he helped her hoist pieces of her drumkit into the back of her stripped cargo van outside the bar, "these fuckers are heavy." "Suck it up, Taylor..." Jaime grunted back, "I CAN do this myself. You offered.." she laughed as she shoved  the section they'd hoisted all the way back to make room for the rest. "I know.." he grunted again as he helped her lift the next section. "Remember that your fall back job should not bear the title 'ROADIE'" she laughed as they managed the rest of it. "Hey...Jaimebadass...bite me." Taylor laughed and staggered back a little, cursing himself for drinking a little too much. "Don't tempt me pretty boy." she grinned and slammed the back doors, making sure they were locked. "I don't wanna haul 'em into my place tonight, when I finally come down, my ass will be grass.." she chuckled. "Thanks Taylor. Really." she smiled and leaned against the van, swallowing a bottled water in almost one gulp. "Wanna finish it? Or are you chicken?" she winked and stuffed her drumsticks in her back pocket. "Chicken? What the hell is that supposed to mean?" he asked taking the bottle from her. "Well duh! You'd be swapping spit with a total stranger.." she shook her head.
"I shared a bedroom with Ike and Zac for god knows how many years, I think I'll live through 'swapping spit' with you. Even if it is just from a water bottle." he grinned and finished it then tossed the empty into the garbage can outside the back door of the bar. "Man I'm still wound.." Jaime paced a little, the air was cold, but she was still sweating and hadn't bothered with a jacket. "Jadeleigh will probably get Josh-boy to take her home...what are you guys gonna do with Zac?' she chuckled. "Josh and Ike can deal with him," he answered with a smirk. "This was their idea. Wanna take a ride or something?" he asked. "We could do that." Jaime gave Taylor that killer smile. "But not in this piece of crap. I just bought it cheap of one off my Dad's drinkin' buddies so I can haul my drums and stuff. It doesn't look bad now 'cause it's dark, and we're buzzed. How do you feel about motorcycles?" she eyed him carefully. "You ride?" he asked. "Yeah..." she winked. "Wanna see my bike?" "Yeah...let's go make sure Zac will get home okay and then we'll go.." he smiled. "Cool. You're the only guy I've ever met that isn't ready to crash and burn after a show, but then..." she paused. "It wasn't your gig, either.." she smiled again and followed him over to where the rest of the group was standing.
"So what's everyone doing now?" Jaime asked before Tay could open his mouth. he gave her a sideways glance and grinned. Tami, Rae and Patti were going home to crash, all three giggling when Jaime shooke her head at them and called them wimps. "What about you, Jadeleigh?" she asked, looking from her to Angel and back again. "Josh and Ike said they'd give us a lift on their way, if you don't want to haul us AND all the sound equipment and drums in your van.." Jade answered. "We can take you if you want." Jaime offered and Tay groaned to himself. He'd wanted just a little time alone with Jaime to get to know her for real, not just her wild stage personality. "We?" Jade grinned and raised her eyebrow at Jaime. "Tay wanted to take a ride on the bike with me, to help me wind down. You know I can't just crash.." she grinned back, defiantly. "Okay. Then Angel and I will ride with Josh, Ike and Zac." Jade replied, sending Jaime the 'I wanna know every little
detail later' look. "Whaddaya mean, AND ZAC?" Zac suddenly interrupted in mock-annoyance. "Well how else are you gonna get home, dork?" Taylor shot back. "Who says I wanna go home yet? I wanna see Jaime's bike too." he grinned at Jaime with puppy eyes, and Taylor rolled his. "Puh-leeeze Jaime? I can't go home this wasted anyway, Dad'll skin me.." Zac continued. "Oh alright, you meatball." Jaime relented, much to Taylor's annoyance. "But you have to promise to help me unload the van." she told him. "Deal, babe. Even though I know you can hoist all that shit all by yourself." he grinned. "Kay. Let's motor.." she grinned at Zac and grabbed Taylor's hand. "It won't be so bad. Wipe that look off your face before you hurt his feelings." she said softly. "There's always tomorrow, right?" she smiled and gave Tay's hand a squeeze, then turned back to Ike and Josh. "Better drop Angel off first." she said. "She looks rode-hard-and-put-up-wet. Too much gig tonight,
Angelface? Or are you just...oh nevermind." she thought better of what she was about to say, she didn't want any of these Hansons thinking she was a bitch on wheels, and she could tell from the look on Josh's face that he KNEW what she was about to say. He was white as a ghost. Jade gave her a questioning look, but Jaime shook her head. "Need to chill is all Jadeleigh. Call me tomorrow." she gripped Jade's hand. "Kay. See ya babe.." Jade answered and followed Angel and the other men to their car, while Tay and Zac piled into Jaime's van.
