"And what might that be?" Taylor grinned back, wondering what popped into her head to make her grin so wide and her eyes gleam so wickedly. Jamie chuckled. "Much as I'd love to have a few more minutes and let you drive me to work, Taylor. How in the hell would I get home? I'll ride the bike.." she said and then felt a little bit bad when his face fell a bit. But she needed the time to think, and she wanted to make her friend happy, and she knew Jade wasn't. "Aww Tay. Don't look like that.." she let her towel drop and headed for the closet. Taylor had to catch his breath again, as the sight of her small, tight naked body. "Damn Jame.." he muttered and looked to make sure jade was still out cold. Which she was. Jamie chuckled again. "I told you...she's down for the count." she said, quickly pulling on her under things and then reaching for a pair of torn faded jeans. Taylor grinned as he watched her pull them on. "Okay...so what's this bright idea?" he asked, leaning against the open closet door and watching intently as she shoved hangers roughly aside, looking for a shirt. "Fuck it..." she muttered and stretched, reaching above her head and grabbing a worn-looking, sleeveless, black, concert t-shirt. "I'm waiting.." he teased. "Okay dammit.." she laughed as she pulled the t-shirt on over her head, then quickly tucked it in. "I'm not saying I don't want you to take me to work, but I think we need to do an intervention here.." she smiled, nodding her head at her sleeping friend. "Oh right.." Taylor commented sarcastically. "Like Jade HAS a drinking problem.." "Well DUH..." Jamie rolled her eyes. "No Einstein...I was talking about Isaac...jeez..." she shook her head. "Uh-huh.." Taylor shifted his weight and waited for her to continue, watching carefully as she pulled on her socks, her workboots ad a black leather belt. Jamie sighed in exasperation. "Taylor..you and I BOTH know what the hell is up. Josh will just have to get over his stupid ass self. He's not real talented in the sneaky department, and Jadeleigh doesn't deserve his bullshit. Ike really LIKES her...so when you bring me my giant sized breakfast in the morning...protien, not sugar please, I have a gig to stay up for.." she winked at him and grinned. "Bring him with you. She ain't gonna be fit to do anything but drink a gallon of coffee and shovel pancakes the size of pizzas down her gullet to soak up all she drank tonight. I've never seen her drink that much." Jamie laughed. "She's SUPPOSED to be helping me arrange a song I started..." she shook her head, and finished buckling her belt. She stood with her hands on her hips and looked directly into his eyes, then wished she hadn't. She was NOT imagining it. Suddenly he grinned widely. "Okay. I'll bring him with me..." he told her, then reached out and pulled her to him, wrapping his body, not just his arms around her. She snaked her arms around his waist and breathed in deeply, pressing her cheek into his chest. She closed her eyes and bit her bottom lip when he stroked the back of her still damp hair and kissed the top of her head. "Thanks.." she murmured and closed her eyes tighter when he gave her a squeeze. "Tay..I'm sorry...I really really have to get to work.." she looked up at him and drowned in his warm blue gaze, and felt herself begn to feel the panic well up in her chest. Taylor sensed it and let go of her. "It's all right. I'll be back in the morning. I'd really like to hear what you've got so far.." he told her. "Kay...just let me.." she moved away from him and strode to where Jade was asleep in the recliner. Taylor watched in amusement as Jamie shifted Jade from the recliner to the futon. "Come on girlfriend...help me out a little here..." Jamie grunted as she hoisted her and draped her arm over her shoulder. "Kay...sorry...sorry Jame.." Jade mumbled and tried to help get herself to the futon. "That's okay, babe. Not like you haven't ever been there when I've gone on a serious bender... I just don't wanna bonk your hear or anything, Jadeleigh." Jamie assured her friend as Taylor arranged the pillows, trying not to laugh. "Thanks Jame.." Jade slurred and tried to focus on Jamie. "No sweat doll baby....just sleep. You'll feel alot better in the morning. I promise." Jamie said and pulled the covers over her friend's shoulders. "I don't feel bad now, Jame.." Jade kept talking as Jamie tried to arrange her comfortably, so she would not worry while she was away at work. "...except for I feel bad for Tay.." she continued, forgetting he was there. Taylor took a step back and ran hand through his hair. "No need for that Jadeleigh. He's fine. Go to sleep." she said. "Don't hurt him 'cause you're scared Jameson.." Jade blurted. "Don't you worry about it, miss thang. You're wasted. GO TO SLEEP." she commanded, hoping Tay had stepped back far enough not to have heard. "Fine.." Jade answered and let her head flop down on the pillow. "But I MEAN it Jamie. You better stay put.." she said and closed her eyes. "Go to sleep Jade. I'll be back after work, you lush. talk to me when you're brain's not fried, okay?" she said firmly and kissed her friend on the forehead, unable to be angry with her because she WAS drunk, and probably right. She sighed heavily and started to switch off lights, avoiding Taylor's gaze. Taylor picked up his wallet and keys, then opened the door for Jamie, who made sure to lock it, then shoved her helmet under her arm and headed out the door in front of Tay. She hauled out her motorcycle and walked it to the street, Taylor two steps behind her. She straddled her motorcycle and stuck her helmet on the seat between her legs. Taylor moved closer to her, and tucked her hair behind her ear. "See you in the morning, Jame..." he said and lowered his head, letting hs lips hover just a breath away from hers. "I still won't sleep for shit." he murmured, then let his lips touch hers as he cupped the back of her head. Jamie felt herself melt instantly and let her lips part to let him in. He kissed her softly, sweetly, but with all the intensity of their last lovemaking session, his hand rooted firmly in her hair and his body as close to hers as he could get without actually getting on the motorcycle with him. When they parted, she could only stare into his eyes, speechless. He tucked a stray lock behind her other ear and smiled down at her. "Drive careful on that thing, will ya?" he asked. "Kay...'night Tay." she murmured softly, her head still clouded and spinning. "'Night Jame." he said and kissed her lightly. She stood and jumped on the starter, thanking goodness it started right away. She flashed Taylor a blinding smile, "Later Hanson...don't forget my breakfast.." she chuckled. "Don't worry, Jame." he grinned, then grabbed the back of her head and kissed her again. "Be careful.." he said as she pulled her helmet on. She lifted the visor on her helmet and smiled, then pulled away, leaving him staring after her. He ran a hand through his hair and smiled so big he thought his face would split. |
