Taylor and Jamie both sipped at their beer, silent, lost in their own thoughts. Jamie, thinking of John and why he'd chosen this moment to show up in her life again, when she thought she'd made it PERFECTLY clear that she could very well manage the rest of her life without him, and Taylor thinking of Jamie and how to ensure that she would remain HIS, if he could really call her his to begin with. He liked to think he could, considering what he saw in her eyes when she was sleepy or as she screamed her climax when her brain was fighting what her body and soul was willing to accept. Jamie took another long drink off her beer and looked up at Taylor. "What's wrong Jame?" Taylor tucked wipsy hair behind her ear as she blinked in surprise. "Nothing." she gave him a slight smile in return, then launched into a completely SAFE subject. "Wasn't Jadeleigh awesome Tay? I knew she could do it!" she slurred her words a bit, her body was winding down from performing and the beer she'd drunk was affecting her now. Taylor grinned and tucked her hair back again. "Yeah, she rocked. You guys are amazing together. She would not have been able to do it without you, Jame. You know that." he told her, looking intently into her eyes. "Sure she could have..." Jamie giggled and let her head drop back against Taylor's shoulder. "She's just a big chicken." Taylor chuckled. "Maybe." he kissed her forehead. "So, Jame?" Taylor looked down and directly into her eyes. He wanted to see what she felt for him right there, right now, but the wall was up again. "What?" she asked, suddenly very nervous. She knew what he wanted, and wasn't thinking coherently enough to get around 'the words' without sending him straight out the door. She knew she didn't want that, but refused to admit to herself why. "You're not considering joining those guys are you? I mean for the rest of the tour..." Jamie's head snapped up and she felt the skin prickle at the back of her neck. "Why the fuck NOT?" Taylor groaned inwardly and cupped her face in his hands. "Don't get all wound up Jame." he quickly covered, wanting to kick himself for letting his jealousy of Johnny show so openly. "I was thinking about Jade." he lied. "What about Jadeleigh? She can do it...she'll rock. You said it yourself, and I never said I wanted to join them. Even if I did.." she rambled, trying to find a way to get out of telling him what exactly her relationship with Johnny Rzeznik used to be. Hell, she didn't even know herself, except barring Taylor it was the best sex she'd ever had in her life, and compared to Tay, well (she hoped she'd never have to say so to Johnny) she'd forgotten John had ever been in her life at all. "Even if you did what?" "I'd...shit. I'd stay as far away from his big dumb polak ass as I could.." she muttered and knocked back her beer. "WHY Jame?" Taylor's crystal bule gaze flashed angrily into her own dark and guarded one. "Why would you need to stay away? Did you..." he stopped mid-sentence and stared into her eyes. "Did I WHAT?" Jamie snapped back. "Fuck. Nevermind, Jame. It's none of my business.." Taylor dug his hands into Jamie's hair and covered her mouth with his, kissing her thoroughly, making her entire body crackle with electricity and turning her to liquid in the same moment. She kissed him back, unable to do anything but respond to him the way he wanted, though her brain screamed at her body for giving her away every single time. "Don't care what happened.." he murmured as he kissed his way down her neck and caressed her body, setting her on fire before she could protest to his words. "I just want YOU..." he whispered as he sucked and licked her neck, cupping her breast in his hand and squeezing gently. The only thing Jamie could manage was a slight whimper as she tugged at his hair and let her head drop back, unable to fight it any longer. |
