"Johnny, would you STOP?" Jamie grumbled and yanked her arm roughly out of his grasp. "I could kick your ass and not think twice about it. leave me alone, you don't OWN me." she rolled her eyes as he sat her forcefully into her chair. "Asshole," she muttered and swallowed the beer the waitress set next to her in two gulps.

"Are you ready to talk, Jamie? Or are you just gonna drink until you can't walk while you call me names all night? I can take it." he smirked and deliberately only drank a little bit of his beer.

"Fuck you." she muttered. "I did NOT come here to talk. But since you won't just let it go, what is this 'offer I can't refuse'?" she knocked back a shot, leaned back in her chair, and crossed her arms over her chest. She tossed her hair back, reached for the tray of shots the waitress was carrying then looked up at her. "Just bring me the fifth, Connie."

"It's YOUR gut Jameson, don't come crying to me when you got ulcers the size of Dallas and your liver is shot." Connie complained.

"Like you said, it's MY gut." Jamie looked pointedly at her.

"Fine." Connie replied.

"Offer? What the hell is it Rzeznik? I am outta here in FIVE minutes so talk fast." she said, steadily drinking and leaning AWAY from him.

John continued to move closer as he explained the offer to her, and wondered if she was even going to consider it. "Jamie it's a good opportunity, our crowds have been HUGE and you could get so much exposure. YOU could make your living at what you love. And you know you love it."

"Yeah? So?" she asked, "Why does that mean I'd wanna go on the road with you? besides Johnny, you know I can't. What about daddy?" she knocked back another shot and sucked on a lime slice.

"Depends on which daddy you're talkin' about, Jamie." he said flatly. "You wanna stay here with your DAD? Or are you gonna let HIM hold you back from the music?" Johnny leaned back, folded his arms over his chest, looked Jamie in the eyes and waited, a slightly smug look on his face.
