Hi Jadeleigh." Jamie grinned up at her friend. "It's been a zoo in here." she stated as Jade squeezed her hand and scooted closer. "That is an understatement. Patti called today, but you and Tay were sleeping. She said to tell you to 'get better dumbass.'" Jade chuckled. Jamie rolled her eyes. "Great." She shifted to a more comfortable position in the bed, while Jade chuckled again. "Seriously Jame. How are you? I mean, damn Jameson. You scared the hell outta me. And look at your leg..." she murmured as Jamie lifted the cover so they could both get a better look. "It'll prolly scar like a mother... it stings when I move too much...I am surprised I didn't do more that break my damn arm and knock myself unconscious." she said, thoughtfully. "But that didn't scare me half as bad as thinking you would not talk to me again. I don't say it enough, Jadeleigh. I know I don't, but I love you. And I really really didn't wanna tell you anything I wasn't 100 percent sure of... and I am so sorry he's was such an asshole to you, Jadeleigh. You are waaaaay better than that. And you probably deserved better from me." she sighed. "Jameson, I was pissed because if you had just SAID something, I would have believed you. I would have. I trust you to tell me the truth about things more than anyone else in the whole world. You always have... I love you, too, Jame." Jade grinned at her friend through her tears. "I was worried I would not get the chance to tell you..." Jamie cut her friend off with a loud whoop, completely inappropriate in a hospital, causing Jade to laugh out loud. "AWWW YEAH!! I KNEW IT!!! I KNEW IT!!!" Jamie exclaimed, grabbing her friend by the neck and pulling her down to kiss her cheek. "When's the wedding? Please, please tell me I don't have to wear some dorky ass tangerine frou frou lookin' bridesmaid costume....ohmygod JADELEIGH!!!!" she hollered again and Jade shushed her, laughing. "Jamie you dork. He did NOT ask me to marry him. BUT..." she smiled a happy dimpled smile and tossed her curls over her shoulder, "...the man can kiss." Jade blushed and and it was Jamie's turn to laugh out loud. "Apparently he can do more than kiss." she looked her friend over carefully. "Well yeah...but it's not what you think Jamie." Jade blushed furiously. "It will be soon enough." Jamie told her, laughing. "I am glad you two finally got your shit together. What about Angelbitch and the creature from the black lagoon?" she asked. "I am not mad anymore Jame. I wouldn't be with Ike, and I guess Angel really does love him. I didn't. Not enough anyway. But we're all cool. Josh is scared to come here though, and so is Angel." Jade giggled. "Long as they are not screwing up YOUR life and you are cool with them, I don't give a shit Jadeleigh." Jamie shrugged. "They're moving, anyway. Josh got some huge promotion. IN FLORIDA." Jamie stared at Jade for a moment, then burst out in laughter. Jade couldn't help but join her. "Seriously, Jadeleigh. Are we cool, babe?" Jamie asked when her laughter subsided. "Of course we are." Jade leaned over and hugged her friend, tightly. "I dunno what I'd do without you Jamie." she whispered. "Me either." Jamie whispered back, clutching her friend just as tightly. "Hey...this a private party? Or can any pervert join?" Johnny stuck his head in the door and grinned, his blue eyes sparkling mischievously. "Oh lord..." "WHATever.." were the simultaneous groans from Jamie and Jade. Jade stood and kissed Jamie's forehead. "See ya wench. I need food." she told her. "Kay Jadeleigh. See ya later girlfriend. Bring your guitar, paper and pen when you come back? PLEASE. I'll go crazy in here tonight." Jamie sighed. All she really wanted to do was go home, pull out the futon, put her feet up on the coffee table and eat pizza out of the box with Taylor, while they watched movies. "Kay. See ya babe." Jade gave John a long hard look, then smiled up at him as she left. "Later.." he watched her walk down the hall a little way, then grinned at Jamie. "Damn girl. Hard to get a minute alone with you these days. How's the leg?" he asked her. "I'll live." she grinned up at him. "Your arm?" he asked. "Fine. I can still use it." she told him, looking into his blue eyes and wondering where he was going with this conversation. "Cool." he sat in Taylor's chair and grabbed her her cast by the wrist. "You could sand this a bit.." he told her, looking at the thick plaster between her thumb and forefinger. "You could be playing in about a month, right?" he asked, moving her hair out of her eyes. "I guess." she looked down at her lap, not knowing what to say to him. This was the first time they'd been alone in a room together since she took off from the parking lot at the bar. "Jamie. It's cool. HE'S cool. Though I really REALLY wanted to hate him." he grinned down at her and kissed her forehead. "God." Jamie looked at the ceiling, her eyes filling with tears. |
