Taylor pulled into the long driveway of Calley's home, slowly. He looked over at her and gave her knee another squeeze. "I can stay and help, if you want. We still need to talk." he told her. "No, Taylor." she replied with a sigh. "I just am going to throw all I can get into my suitcases and leave, before he gets back." "I want to talk to you, Calley. Where are you going to stay? And what are you going to do if he comes while you're packing? He'll try to hurt you again..." Taylor said worriedly. "He won't, we won't be in public, so I can't embarrass him and ruin his imgae.." she sighed. "Go Taylor. I will be okay on my own." she said. "I can do this."

"Fine." Tayloe replied, resigned to the fact that she was going to be stubborn about it. "How will I get in touch with you? Where are you going to go?" he asked.

"I dunno." she sighed. "Just GO. Please.." she asked again. "Thank you for bringing me, Tay. Don't think I don't appreciate it." she said and hurriedly got out of the car and slammed her door.

"Calley, wait.." he yelled as she ran the rest of the way up the drive. He opened his door and yelled to her again, but she refused to turn around as she roughly unlocked and opened the door. "CALLEY..." he yelled again as he started toward the house, then gave up as she closed the dorr and he heard the deadbolts being hurriedly flipped shut. "Damn it.." he muttered and got back in his car. He lit another smoke and let his window down, then carefully backed down the long driveway. He sincerely hoped that Adam would not show up while she was trying to pack.

Calley sighed heavily and leaned back against the door. Whatever Taylor felt was so pressing would have to wait, she had her own unhappy life to deal with and he was NOT going to be a factor in what she did. She was tired of being looked at as an extension of Adam, tired of being treated as Adam's hood ornament. She was a human being with desires and talents of her own. She did have Taylor to thank for making her see that. This last year without him had been awful, with no one to tell her she was someone worth spending time with, whose views on things mattered. She truly loved Taylor, but now it was time to be on her own. If she jumped straight from Adam to Tay, she could just hear the tabloid articles calling her a 'gold-digger' and so on. NO. Calley would not be beholden to any man, ever again. She wiped the tears off her cheeks and peeked out the window to see Taylor backing down the driveway. She wiped her cheeks again, sniffled and then headed up the winding staircase, firmly resolved to make her life her own.

"Well?" Zac asked when Taylor returned to their hotel room. "Well what?" Taylor responded, wishing he could have another cigarette at the moment. "Is she okay? What is she going to do?" Zac truly wanted too know that she was all right, because no matter what a woman did, she did not deserve to be manhandled like that, unless she was a child-abuser or something like that. Calley didn't have any childern, so that was not a concern. Taylor sighed and lit the cigarette, not caring what his brother would say about it. "I dropped her off at the house. She said she was taking her stuff and leaving, before HE got home. But she wouldn't let me help her, and she wouldn't tell me where she was going." he said, frustrated. "Really?" zac asked incredulous. he thought for sure she'd pounce on the opportunity to attach herself to Taylor at this point. "She's does have some backbone then.." he murmured out loud, with a new-found respect for her. "Good for her. Hopefully she will find someone more her speed." Zac said without thinking first. Taylor shot him a cutting look. "Oh be for real, would you?" Zac said disgusted. "You two don't have too much in common and she IS alot older than you. Plus think of how it would be spread all over the press if you wound up together after she bailed on 'Daddy Warbucks'. It's probably GOOD that she's not telling where she's going. She can obviously find you when she wants to." Zac told him.

"She would have been able to, but she won't have the RESOURCES, Zac. I am gonna have to find her.' he said and put his cigareete out, then pitched the butt out the window. "We better get out shit together and get our butts on the road, huh?" he sighed and both got up to do just that.
