Waverley West and Schools
Will Waverley West get any new schools? The outlook is bleak. Royalwood did not get the two new schools it required. Ladco refers all calls on the matter to its Provincial development partner, MHRC. Calgary's new Symons Valley/Creekside development, 55,000 people in all, will get 14 new elementary and junior high schools. Waverley West is being designed to include eight elementary schools and two high schools, yet Genstar is already building condos on unrealized school grounds in Lindenwoods. Can the Province of Manitoba build a new subdivision the size of Brandon without building any of of the schools that it needs? Watch and see.
