| In case you haven't had a chance to catch Angel recently I'll catch you up briefly. When Wolfram and Hart brought back Angelus' dead love Darla, it sent Angel into a tailspin. The bottom of this tailspin occured when Angel, in a fit of rage, slept with Darla in an effort to lose his soul again. It didn't work because it wasn't perfect happiness. He told Darla to leave LA and never return. Well, she did return - 9 months later. That's right, guess who was pregnant with Angel's child. Wesley was able to find several prophecies pertaining to the vampire child. They were soon able to discover that the child had a soul. Holtz, an old enemy of Angel and Darla, comes a the same time to kill them. When it comes time for Darla to give birth, her undead body cannot take it, and she stakes herself in order to save the child. She dies seeing the child as her one thing she did right. Holtz puts off killing Angel in order to make plans concerning his new son, Connor. Wesley continues to translate the manuscripts only to discover a horrifying passage "The father will kill the son." He tried to disprove it, but everything he found pointed back to the same thing. In an effort to prevent what he thought was the inevitable, he tried to kidnap Connor. But Holtz's people intervened, slitting Wesley's throat and taking Connor with them. Angel tracks Holtz down and there's a big showdown between Holtz, Angel, Lila, and a demon that has shown up and claims he is Angel's enemy. The demon opens a gateway to a demon demension and Holtz jumps into it. Angel goes after the demon later and discovers that the prophacies were false, the demon placed them there because the real ones said Connor would kill him. He also cannot get back to the demension because the tear can only be opened once. Fred and Gunn find Wesley and get him to the hospital. Angel arrives and tries to kill Wesley, but gets dragged out screaming that he'll never forgive Wesley for what he did. |
